Graduating with a degree in Psychology, I quickly discovered my passion for the world of technology while working at Amazon. Recognizing the potential to merge these interests, I embarked on a Cyber Security course, and that decision changed the course of my career. With a strong foundation in Psychology, I possess a keen ability to work with individuals and organizations, collecting and analyzing data to address complex challenges. Combining this with my comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity obtained through the virtual Cybersecurity Engineering intensive lab program conducted by Flatiron School, I am well-equipped to contribute to safeguarding sensitive information and data for individuals and companies alike. Throughout my journey, I have honed my technical expertise in a range of areas, including network configurations, server room hardware, software and services, Active Directory, command-line tools, and shell scripting. My proficiency in programming languages, especially Python, BASH, and PowerShell, allows me to efficiently identify and close off system vulnerabilities. I am proficient in Google Suite applications and Zoom. I am passionate about technology and thrive in dynamic, problem-solving environments, excelling in multitasking and time management. My strong communication and organizational skills enable me to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical staff and executive leadership. I'm certified in CompTIA Security +, I am continuously enhancing my knowledge to stay ahead in the ever-evolving landscape of Cybersecurity. I take pride in completing my degree at NIU and having the insight to align my strengths with information technology to make a positive impact in the field of Cyber Security. Moreover, my fluency in English and Sinhala (Sri Lanka) enables me to bridge cultural gaps and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
