In 1982, I embarked on my logistics venture while working for Branch Motor Express (LTL) in a sales and operations capacity. Central Transport recognized my potential and recruited me to spearhead the development and expansion of the sales market within the automotive industry. Subsequently, Burlington Air Express approached me to oversee the handling of logistics for GM and Chrysler. At Burlington Air Express, I successfully devised and executed the largest international program for GM, managing their air and ocean freight to European markets. Additionally, I created a specialized program for Chrysler, facilitating the efficient movement of engines and transmissions to their dealerships across North America. My expertise in the field didn't go unnoticed, and I was then recruited by Eagle Global Logistics, now known as CEVA, as the Senior Vice President of the automotive division. In this role, I not only contributed to the company's strategic direction but also served on the board of directors. Together, we established a presence on the West Coast by acquiring an aircraft and developing lanes for next-day air delivery. Furthermore, we implemented a wire-harness program, transporting materials from Mexico to the Ford truck plant. After successfully developing and implementing these programs, I decided to venture out on my own and establish my company, Specialized Global Logistics Inc. (SGLS Inc.). As the founder and CEO, SGLS Inc. offers comprehensive transportation solutions across all modes and provides warehouse management programs. Notably, we have been entrusted with the sequence part distribution for Stellantis, ensuring a streamlined supply chain for their operations.
