I am a Director of Technology and full stack software engineer using JavaScript, Typescript, jQuery, React, Next, C, Python, Zig, Golang, Node.js, Express, Mongoose, Flask, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MongoDB Atlas, Redis, HTML, CSS. Other technologies: AWS, DigitalOcean, Google domains, Linux and CloudFront. I am currently the Director of Technology for KTB Global and a cohort instructional leader for Code The Dream. I architect, design, develop, and deploy all layers of IT, software, systems, and hardware solutions for my company. I handle our CI/CD pipeline, technical training, and project management for all development and implementation. I act as a project owner and conduct research into new technologies to benefit the company. I am goal oriented with a focus on cost savings and have implemented many custom software solutions to increase productivity, security and reduce costs by a factor of over 5. I manage all software engineers and tech facing employees and assign tasks. As a CIL at CTD I handle multiple broadcasts to students weekly, managing mentors and review assignments and curriculum for any issues. I also create educational content for students and answer student questions directly. Additional skills and information: I thrive working in a team environment with many personalities and diverse backgrounds, which has helped me transition into software engineering seamlessly. Mentoring/peer support is very rewarding and important to me. I work at Code The Dream, a non-profit coding camp for underrepresented people in tech, as a Cohort Instructional Leader and volunteer mentor. I communicate openly with supervisors, peers, customers and anyone else who would benefit. It is crucial to understand the needs of my company so that I can meet those needs.
