I bring you the things that keep you alive. Highway & food safety, cleanliness, correct temperature, and punctuality are paramount to me. In 1981 when I was 19 years old I wanted to drive a tractor trailer. No one would hire me due to my young age. So I bought my first truck for $2000, rented a 40ft van trailer & went wildcatting. That was over 6 million miles ago. During this time I've held various positions such as Transportation Mgr for Kramer & Son Egg Co in Boonville IN in 1984 & 1985. In 1997 I was a heavy duty truck salesman for Joe Hotze Ford in Salem IL. This gave me valuable insight into specing equipment plus I learned valuable negotiating skills. From 1992 to 1994 I worked in warehousing for Morton Avenue Warehouse in Evansville IN which gave me valuable insight into warehousing. I held these other positions while owning 1 to 5 trucks of my own where I was responsible for maintenance, compliance & the management of Drivers. Since 2000 it has been just me with one truck & trailer. I feel that this has been the most successful period in my career. But I'm open minded & always looking for the next challenge.
