👋 Hi, I’m Daniel – General Manager (Community & Liveability) Western Downs Regional Council, speaker, serial overthinker, and father of three small humans with impressive lung capacity. 👨‍💼 By day, I lead a team of passionate people doing meaningful work for real communities. I share ideas, tell stories, ask uncomfortable questions, and occasionally say something useful with a microphone in my hand (or on a panel, or in a hallway when no one asked). 🎤 You’ll find me at my best on stage or deep in conversation, where we can ditch the buzzwords and talk honestly about what’s actually going on in leadership, culture, and the wonderful, weird world of local government. I’ve spoken at conferences across the country, and yes, I’ve MC’d more weddings than any emotionally stable person probably should. 🌙 By night, I’m a dad to three tornadoes in disguise, a husband constantly one dishwasher load away from redemption, and a man trying (and often failing) to give his best time to the people who deserve it most. My work gets the sharpest version of me; my family often gets the leftovers, and I’m constantly trying to fix that. Some days I win. Most days I just reheat the same internal guilt and try again tomorrow. 💭 What drives me isn’t coaching, it’s conversation. I love helping people think, challenge assumptions, laugh at the absurdity of our systems, and maybe even come away with a better plan than they walked in with.
