As part of the Immuno-Oncology Alliance between LifeArc, CRUK and Ono Pharma, my project aimed to characterise the physicochemical properties of a lead monoclonal antibody candidate targeting an oncologic target. 
Over the course of the year, I cultivated a robust skill set in assay development and optimization, mastering techniques such as surface plasmon resonance, flow cytometry, SEC-MALS, and antibody titration assays. Exposure to these diverse laboratory techniques significantly advanced my technical expertise and problem-solving abilities, propelling my career forward. 
In addition, I have demonstrated competency and independence in molecular techniques, such as transfections, protein purification, ELISA, western blotting and others. With strict adherence to biocontainment and aseptic technique, I established various cells lines, from THP-1 and WTSli022 to CHOs and DAOYs. 
My roles also involved presenting my experimental analyses in monthly project team meetings, compiling an experimental report for lead characterisation pipeline, and providing support to lateral projects within the Motor Neurone Disease division.

My project focused on designing an outreach programme aimed at diversifying clinical trial cohorts to diminish ethnoracial inequalities within healthcare as part of MSD's Diversity & Inclusion portfolio. 
I developed a comprehensive understanding of existing ethnoracial disparities through extensive literature review of health economics, historical contexts and relevant legislature, and psycho-behavioural factors influencing perception and engagement with healthcare. 
We proposed an online hub containing culturally-sensitive information and translation services in clinical trial engagement, as well as recruiting trial dashboard to enhance engagement and encourage participation.
