At Outlook we’re a registered Australian charity & Social Enterprise focussed on improving the lives of people with a disability and others in our community that come from disadvantaged backgrounds. 

More specifically, we’re a collection of people looking to make a positive impact on our communities by working towards an inclusive society for all.  At Outlook inclusive is not a 99-and-1 scenario and it’s not 1-and-99…it’s environments that are diverse and represent the communities we operate in and that provide opportunities to those that would otherwise experience barriers to the opportunities everyone else takes for granted.

We strive towards a more inclusive society through two key divisions:

Our Community Services division - delivering life skills, in-home care and community access support as a Disability Support Provider to help our customers build independence and enrich their lives; and

Our Social Enterprise division – creating employment opportunities through our various operations across the resource recovery sector. At a commercial level, we focus on educating our communities about recycling and waste recovery initiatives, while also demonstrating what’s possible in an all-inclusive commercial operation on a social level.  We proudly share that 70% of our workforce come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

We’re passionate about removing barriers and lifting the ceiling of what’s possible when it comes to societies misperceptions about the capabilities of some of our most disadvantaged community members.  The more barriers we can remove and the more minds we can change, the better!

White Box Enterprises (WBE), Civik and Youth Enterprises Australia (YEA) have joined forces to boost employment opportunities for young people facing barriers to work in Victoria.

After 24 years of operation and a rigorous tender process, YEA is handing over the reins of the organisation to WBE and Civik, enabling them to fast track the expansion of Civik into Victoria, building on the success of its infrastructure services in Queensland. Proceeds from the wind-up of YEA’s labour solutions social enterprise will support the scaling of youth employment activities under the Civik banner.

With this new chapter, we aim to create even more meaningful job opportunities and drive lasting impact.

West Arnhem Regional Council

West Arnhem Regional Council borders encompass some 50,000 square kilometres of spectacular outback landscape at the very top of the Top End. The jewel in our crown, the World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park, sets us apart as one of the most culturally important and environmentally significant corners of the Northern Territory. From remote islands and pristine beaches, to the vast floodplains and dramatic escarpments, our towns, communities and outstations are as diverse as the country around them.

Some selected highlights of success include:

Increased staff Alignment & Engagement 
✔ Shortly after starting I outsourced an alignment & engagement staff survey to Insync, the initial baseline results when compared to 100+ other Councils across Australia had WARC in the below average range of engagement and bottom 10% of alignment. In August 2021 when asking the same questions and comparing against the same benchmark we scored in the TOP 10% of the engagement index and TOP 25% of the alignment index.  Insync said "The increase in WARC's engagement & alignment scores from last year is probably the greatest positive move we have witnessed within any of our local government clients nationally."

REDUCED STAFF TURNOVER 
✔ 57% in 2019 to 32% in 2021, realising a savings of over $1.5 million per year. 

CAPITAL PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
✔100% more capital projects delivered in FY 21 compared to any other year in West Arnhem Regional Council History.

A not-for-profit provider of aged care and health care services, Masonic Care Tasmania (MCT) has delivered high quality, customised services within residential aged care, community home care support services and retirement villages across Tasmania for more than 60 years.

I was appointed the inaugural CEO in 2016 to lead 3 aged and health care sites and multiple retirement communities throughout Tasmania while merging multiple organisations into 1 under a single vision. 

In partnership with the Board of Directors, I provide contemporary governance, leadership, and management of facilities.

ORGANISATIONAL CONSOLIDATION & REBRANDING
✔ Merged multiple organisations and executive teams into 1 streamlined organisation to produce strong, effective, and efficient executive team that produced results throughout 1 governance structure. Newly formed organisation led the development and delivery of individualised aged care and health care services. 

CAPITAL PROJE

✔ Rebranded organisation into well known and respected brand by developing tactical marketing strategy including TV spots and social media campaigns. Won 2 industry awards based on efforts. 

✔ Refreshed vision, purpose, and values while developing inaugural strategic plan by consulting with staff, clients, families, residents, and the BOD to ensure proper placement of priorities throughout new organisational structure. CT DEVELOPMENT
✔Oversaw Residential redevelopment project at Peace Haven and large redevelopment project at Fred French to ensure facilities met growing client expectations. 

✔ Implemented design and construction of significant building projects including multiple new retirement villages to provide upgraded facilities and develop communities for older Australian.
