I co-hosted the Bank Of Creativity, a meet up held across various cities including Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, London and Cape Town. The aim of the meet up is to encourage anyone that works in or around the creative industry, to collaborate and speed network. Meet ups are held every couple of months at various venues with an emphasis on creating a relaxed welcoming environment where people can mingle over a beer or two!

Isn’t it weird how some brands feel magnetic while others feel…meh?

I'm a huge Grays fan and its the only the stick I've bought since I started playing hockey back in 2008!

I love the designs, but it’s not just about the way the brand looks. It’s more than that.

You see ‘magnetic brands’, are the ones that you keep going to again and again.

They have a clear story, message and promise underneath that nice look.

They make you feel something, (I’ve scored a few goals with Grays sticks and it makes me feel confident when I play hockey).

Where as ‘meh’ brands tend to be easy to miss and less desirable.

They are hard to understand - sometimes you wont even know what it is they do.

When your brand story is rooted in your values and communicated simply → people lean in.

When it’s generic or forgettable → people scroll, click or walk past.

If you want people to stick around - think clarity first, nice logos later.
