I’m a former UK based brick & mortar business owner turned successful online entrepreneur who now calls Los Angeles her home.

Some of you might be familiar with the OG pink women’s empowerment quotes that started going viral in 2018 and were frequently reshared by the likes of Khloe Kardashian, Britney Spears, or Kris Jenner.

Yup, that was me.

I co-founded the company behind those infamous pink quotes, also known as bossbabe.

Before exiting the company in 2023, I built bossbabe to more than 3.5 million followers on social, generating several 7 figures in annual revenue by supporting hundreds of thousands of women, including 30,000 customers, with building and scaling their businesses on social media.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined what my life would look like after taking the leap into online entrepreneurship.

People think the hardest part of building an 8-figure business is:

→ The strategy
→ The team
→ The content
→ The funnels

It’s not.

The hardest part?

Letting go of the identity that built it.

There’s a version of you who hustled, grinded, and made the impossible happen.

She wore every hat.
She figured it out when there was no roadmap.
She became the person who could make it work.

But at some point... that version of you starts to hold you back.

→ She micromanages.
→ She’s afraid to delegate.
→ She can’t stop proving herself.

Because her value was tied to doing it all.

The hard part isn’t scaling the business.
It’s evolving yourself fast enough to keep up with what the business now needs.

Sometimes, the biggest bottleneck isn’t a strategy.
It’s an identity.

And that means grieving the version of you who got you here, so the next version can take the lead.

Because your business can’t grow if you don’t.

The hardest lesson about leadership I’ve ever learned:


When I first became a CEO, I thought leadership meant control.

I was in every meeting.
Answered every message.
Approved every decision.

If something went wrong, I fixed it.
If something needed to be done, I did it.

And for a while, it worked.

Until I realized I was the bottleneck to my own business.

The team couldn’t move until I said so.
Clients couldn’t be served unless I reviewed it.
Revenue couldn’t grow because I couldn’t breathe.

That’s when I learned the hardest (and most liberating) lesson of my career:

Leadership isn’t about control.
It’s about capacity.

You can’t scale if you need to touch everything.

Real leadership means trusting others to hold the standard with you, not waiting for you to hold it for them.

It’s learning to release perfectionism so people can actually grow.
It’s learning that “your way” isn’t always the best way.
It’s learning that delegation isn’t weakness, it’s wisdom.

Because the more ownership your team has, the more space you have to lead.

Today, my business runs with a lean team of part-time contractors.
But we operate with full-time excellence.

Because everyone knows what they own and they treat it that way.

If you’re a founder trying to do it all, hear this:
You don’t need to work harder.

You need to build people who can hold the vision with you.
The business you want requires the leadership you’ve been avoiding.

And the moment you stop micromanaging and start mentoring?

Everything falls into place.

What my resume doesn’t say:

(but matters most)

I’ve worked in healthcare.
I’ve built an 8-figure business.
I’ve coached thousands of entrepreneurs.

But here’s what my resume won’t tell you:

→ I’ve cried on bathroom floors wondering if I was cut out for this.
→ I’ve questioned whether walking away from a steady career was a mistake.
→ I’ve felt lonely even while “winning.”

Because behind every polished bullet point is a real human.

With doubts.
With fears.
With stories that don’t make it into LinkedIn headlines.

So today, I’m less interested in what someone does.

And more curious about:

→ What kept you going when it got hard?
→ What values do you build your business around?
→ What do you want your work to say about you?

Because résumés show the what.
But your character shows the how.

And I don’t know about you, but I care a lot more about how someone shows up when no one’s watching.

That’s the real highlight reel.

The one decision that turned my business from reactive to predictable:

For years, I built my business on adrenaline.

Every month started with the same thought:
“Where’s the next sale coming from?”

One month, I’d have record-breaking revenue.
The next, I feared I'be scrambling to make payroll.

It wasn’t that the business wasn’t working.
It just wasn’t working without me.

I was stuck in the start–stop cycle of reactive growth.

→ Hustle hard when sales slowed down.
→ Breathe for a minute when cash came in.
→ Repeat.

It was exhausting.

The turning point came when I made one decision that changed everything:

I stopped chasing launch spikes and started building predictable systems.

Instead of relying on one big push a few times a year, I focused on creating a daily rhythm:

 → A message that magnetized my ideal clients.
 → An evergreen system that converted them.
 → Metrics I could actually trust.

And suddenly, business got… calm.
Revenue became predictable.
Clients flowed consistently.

And I had space to think, lead, and breathe.

Because here’s the truth:

You don’t build freedom through launches.
You build it through systems.

If your business only makes money when you’re “on,” you don’t have a scalable business.

You have a very demanding job.

The moment I stopped chasing momentum and started installing structure,
 everything changed.

Predictability isn’t boring.
It’s powerful.

Your capacity for success is directly tied to your capacity for discomfort.

I used to think success was about working harder.
 
→ Longer hours.
→ Smarter strategies.
→ Better execution.

But after scaling multiple 7-figure businesses, I’ve realized success has less to do with how hard you work.

And everything to do with how much you can hold.

Because growth isn’t just about doing more.
It’s about expanding your capacity for discomfort.

→ Can you stay grounded when things go wrong?
→ Can you keep showing up when it feels like nobody’s watching?
→ Can you keep your heart open when leadership feels heavy?

Those are the moments that define your next level.

When I co-founded Bossbabe, I thought I could outwork fear.
But no strategy in the world can protect you from uncertainty.

You just learn to hold it differently.

The truth is:

 Every time I leveled up, the discomfort got bigger too.
 
→ The decisions got harder.
 → The stakes got higher.
 → The visibility got louder.

And I had to build the nervous system to hold it all.

That’s why most people stay stuck.

It’s not that they don’t have the skills.
It’s that they don’t yet have the capacity to hold what they say they want.

→ The money.
→ The visibility.
→ The responsibility.

So they shrink back.

But if you can build the resilience to sit in the discomfort, to breathe through uncertainty instead of trying to control it, you’ll start to notice something powerful:

The moments that used to break you now just stretch you.

And that’s when real success becomes sustainable.

Because strategy can scale your business.

But capacity?

That’s what sustains it.

Everyone says: “You need a personal brand.”

But I disagree.

If you’re just getting started, you don’t need a brand.
You need a business model.

You can have the prettiest grid.
The catchiest bio.
The best Reels transitions in the game.

But if you don’t know:
→ Who you’re serving
→ What you’re helping them solve
→ And how you’re going to get paid for it...

You’ll stay stuck in the “content creation hamster wheel” wondering why nothing’s working.

Here’s what I wish someone told me:

Build your offer first.
Brand second.

Why?

Because your business is what funds your freedom.
Your brand is what amplifies it.

Start with the thing that pays you.
Then create content that drives traffic to that offer.

Not the other way around.

It’s not sexy.
But it’s sustainable.

Because audience growth feels a lot better when there’s a system underneath it that actually makes money.

→ Get clear on the problem you solve.
→ Build an offer around it.
→ Test it with real people.
→ Then build your brand around what works.

Your content shouldn’t just look good.

It should convert.

Most CEOs don't have a revenue problem.

They have a leadership identity problem.

Here are the 3 revenue plateaus I see entrepreneurs hit, and the specific shift required to break through each one:

1️⃣ $250K → $500K: From Doer to Delegator

You're still the highest-paid employee in your business. 

Breaking through requires letting go of being "the best" at execution and becoming excellent at directing others. 

→ The identity shift: your value is in your vision, not your output.

2️⃣ $500K → $750K: From Delegator to Designer

You've built a team, but you're still in the weeds managing them. 

The next level requires you to design systems that run without you. 

→ The identity shift: your role is architect, not manager.

3️⃣ $750K → $1M+: From Designer to Decider

You have systems, but you're avoiding the hard calls. 

Scaling past seven figures requires decisive leadership, saying no faster, cutting what's comfortable, choosing growth over safety. 

→ The identity shift: you become someone who trusts herself to make million-dollar decisions.

Most entrepreneurs try to strategy their way through these plateaus.

But strategy doesn't work when your identity hasn't caught up to the revenue goal.
