Entrepreneur

Volvo Cars Charleston Plant

•	3rd member of HR department hired on for brand-new multi-million dollar OEM manufacturing facility
•	Successfully led team to staff entire organization, including filling 1500+ positions
•	Pioneered US HR policies, procedures and processes. 
•	Worked closely with global counterparts to ensure we were maintaining the Volvo culture
•	Built relationships with local military bases to attract hard-to-find talent, attended TAP classes to speak about the organization and what we can offer. 
•	Developed Hiring Process for both hourly and salary employees
•	Partnered with the state on the recruitment and training and development for hourly employees
•	Developed Onboarding program to ensure Volvo employees had a strong education on the company when they started
•	Worked closely with technical managers on hiring of hard-to-find technical personnel, including assisting in the development of assessments and other gates to locate the appropriate skillset

Talent Acquisition Manager

Unitedcoatings Group

•	Perform all HR Management and HR Generalist activities for 3 separate companies throughout the US to include a start-up of a joint venture with GE Aviation
•       Recruiting of over 40 positions for all 3 companies, from entry-level to senior management
•	Created new on-boarding process for new employees as the company continues to grow
•	Prepare annual operating plans for all 3 business units
•	Development of job descriptions and career development plans for every position within the company.
•	Created a single streamlined employee handbook and set of policies for the organization
•	Build and maintain relationships with local colleges to assist in recruiting efforts at all 3 companies

Human Resource Manager

General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies, Inc.

•	Partnered with Executive Leadership in designing and developing Succession Planning for the Functional area of the Manufacturing organization
•	Performed senior-level recruiting for multiple domestic locations within the SATCOM division, working closely with executive leadership.
•	Led preparation of right-sizing efforts of various US and International locations in 2013 and 2014, resulting in $5M cost savings
•	Reduced Workers Compensation claims by 43% from 2012 to 2013, due to improved training and continuous safety audits. 
• Integrated the NC locations into the General Dynamics organization, converting to new benefits plans, job-mapping and HR policies and procedures. 
•	Serves as the NC location’s Export Compliance Manager and Safety Manager
•	Piloted change management associated with re-alignment of the customer service department within the organization, resulting in improved performance and decreased customer complaints
• Managed Human Resources at locations in North Carolina, as well as India and Estonia.

Adjunct Instructor

• Reported to V.P./Director of Human Resources and assisted with various tasks including review of the new employee handbook, creation of new policies, etc.
• Conducted New Hire orientation for staff, faculty and students to include assistance with required paperwork and explanation of benefits
• Administered semi-monthly payroll processing for over 300 students, staff and faculty members

• Achieved a documented 80% cost savings within the first two months of being promoted to the position 
• Assigned to perform Small Business Liaison Duties to ensure compliance with SBA and government contracting regulations due to demonstrated superior interpersonal skills
• Developed and implemented a notification system to facilitate the tracking of equipment, materials and parts, significantly improving interdepartmental efficiency
