Daniel J. Parziale is an incident response and data privacy compliance attorney who possesses a remarkable insight into the intersection of technology and the law. Leaning on his extensive experience in incident response and litigation, with clients across a variety of industries, Daniel provides pragmatic guidance to clients navigating potential notification obligations resulting from cybersecurity incidents. In this capacity, Daniel regularly liaises with forensic, remediation, notification, law enforcement, and negotiations experts during a cybersecurity incident. Post-notification, Daniel addresses inquiries from state Attorneys General and federal regulators such as the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Civil Rights (“OCR”), the Department of Defense (“DoD”), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (“FDIC”), the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC"), and the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”). Daniel also works with clients to develop practical cyber security plans and privacy program materials - Incident Response Plans, Password Policies, BYOD Policies, Terms of Use, Privacy Policies, and Data Security Policies. Daniel received his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers Law School in 2017, where he served as Managing Business and Technology Editor of the Rutgers Race and the Law Review. He graduated from Rutgers University in 2013 with a B.A. in Political Science, cum laude. Daniel is a Certified Information Privacy Professional, United States (“CIPP/US”) as certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (“IAPP”).
