October 31st, 2025: my last shift at the hotel & first day as an entrepreneur.

35 days later, I could barely get myself to open Linkedin. 

- i avoided outreach 
- i avoided posting & commenting
- i focused mostly on my client’s work

When I was working hotel shifts and side-hustling, I never missed a day.

What I'm referring to is this - basic educational content is dead:

- “5 tips to grow on Linkedin”
- “How to optimize your LinkedIn profile”
- “How to write high-converting Linkedin headline”

FFS. 

(excuse my language)

We've been reading this stuff for 2+ years.
It's boring, bland, and forgettable.


I'm not saying value has disappeared.

It has just moved up a level into the domain of personal narrative, original thought and taste. 

And that's the kind of content AI can't replicate.



If you keep posting “value content” and try to be objectively valuable to everyone, you will most likely fail. 

Because objective value:

- feels interchangeable
- anyone could post it 
- it has no energy signature that is yours 

Think about "5 tips to grow on LinkedIn" posts - I'll bet 99% of people never want to see another one.



Instead, shift the belief of what “value” really means in 2026. 

Value is now in the depth, context and perspective only YOU can provide, and no one else in this world. 

Value is "here's what I tested, what worked, what didn't, why I think it happened, and what I learned."


While everyone's racing to produce more volume and game the algorithm - I believe the real opportunity is in the opposite direction.


- Drop the templates. 
- Stop listening to gurus with outdated advice.
- Quit the "everyone's doing it so I should too" approach.


You are your own best content muse. 

Use it - it's your biggest competitive edge in 2026.

In 2026, an agency owner with a personal brand is like a Michelin-star chef: people don't just come for the food, they come for the specific philosophy, the unique approach, and the trust that THIS person will deliver an experience that cannot be automated or replicated.


On the other hand, a founder without a personal brand is like a vending machine: it delivers a commodity product (ads, SEO, copy) efficiently, but it has no loyalty, and anyone can replace it with a cheaper machine (or AI).


Think of it like this:


You're not just selling graphic design or media buying or SEO.
 

You're selling YOUR way of doing it, YOUR perspective on the industry, YOUR specific method that only you have because you lived through the failures and figured it out.


1. Start sharing your work on LinkedIn. 
2. Share the lessons you’ve learned along the way.
3. And most importantly - play the long game. 


It pays off 10x over time. 🤞

Looking back on 2025, there are two big lessons I learned about Linkedin content creation:


1. How much you give, is exactly how much you’ll get back. 

You see, that’s why I love Linkedin. From the moment I started posting in February, the algorithm only rewarded me with profile views, likes, and comments when I engaged with others first. 

DMs, comments, or both - I had to make the first move.

I supported others, and eventually they started supporting me back.

Once that support started to compound, opportunities began showing up:

- 2x podcast invites (turned them down, but that's a story for another day)
- opportunity to write long form B2B content for an agency
- ghostwriting clients that enabled me to quit my full-time job 

All of this above started with me supporting others here - by commenting & having genuine conversations in DMs. 



2. Adopt the “Forever Student” mindset and keep it front and center 

At some point, you’ll achieve success here. 

When you get there, don’t let your ego run the show.

You still don’t know everything, and you never will.

For me, that’s the beauty of it - infinite learning and expanding my mind’s limits.



Linkedin is not perfect, sure. 

But if you let yourself see things from a different perspective, the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Wrapping up 2025 feeling happier and more fulfilled than ever!

My brain waves calm down whenever I read an unoptimized LinkedIn post.

I feel happy.

My feed has been flooded with people talking about how formatting on LinkedIn doesn't matter anymore.

Gone are the days of

Writing two-word
Sentences

And stack them
One below the
Other

Yep, formatting doesn’t matter, if your writing is on point. Good writing carries itself, it doesn't need line breaks every three words to hold attention.

Lately I've been enjoying posts written in a couple of longer paragraphs. Why? Because with paragraphs, you get to go more in depth with what you're trying to say. There's room to build an argument, add nuance, and actually make a point instead of just hinting at one.

I'm not saying you should write every post this way, but it's worth having in your arsenal.

I LIKE this era of social writing soo much.
