My old boss once made us meditate in the middle of a workday.

... I thought she was crazy at first.

She was so unlike any boss I've ever had. 

But she turned out to be my favorite.

👉 We had one job every morning: get your mind right.

We were trained to start every. single. workday. with a soft morning routine:

- Mind dumping
- Writing out our lists
- Journaling what's on our mind
- Going into the day slowly before tackling our to-dos

(Yes, all on the clock)

We were seen as whole human beings. Not just worker bees.

When there was devastation or something heavy going on in the world, my boss would hold space and give us a heart-to-heart in our weekly meeting.

She was ahead of her time.

A true leader, really.

The problem with 90% of bosses, managers, and leaders today is that they forget who they are leading: real people with entire lives going on.

So what I'm trying to say is that the world would be a better place if we had more bosses who see the bigger picture like this.
