4 years ago I was over £20k in debt, used cocaine 3+ times per week, and was drinking myself to death. I was anxious, riddled with insecurities, and carried a deeply rooted fear of never being enough. Facing what it meant to have been adopted and the sudden death of my adopted mum to cancer when I was 18 had taken their toll. Each hit was an escape, a temporary relief from a reality I didn’t want to face. It seemed like the easiest way to deal with my shame, grief and the crushing weight of my identity crisis. My friends and family knew I was hurting, but I lacked the self-belief to make a significant change. Then came the 2020 lockdown. I had a return-to-work meeting with my boss at the time. He said to me, 'Prior to the lockdown and time away from the business, you were one person. Now, you've returned as someone completely different. I don't really know who Dan is anymore.' My identity shattered. Fortunately, my therapist Hugh helped me overcome addiction, rebuild my identity, and discover my purpose in helping salespeople end addictions and create fulfilling lives. Today - my life is an entirely different story… I've escaped the chaotic cycle of addiction and broken free from the relentless grind of a KPI-driven environment in sales. I retrained as a cognitive hypnotherapist & NLP practitioner, left my secure £60k+ a year sales job, and launched my business to help people overcome their addictions and find purpose in their lives. I am now deeply fulfilled, enjoy a comfortable income of £10k+ per month, and have the freedom to live and work anywhere in the world. Curious about my journey from chaos to calm?
