You don't want to be the person getting triggered by everything. Here are 7 actions to build a bulletproof mindset:

1. 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

No one can make you feel anything.

External events may trigger emotions but you choose how to respond.

Stop playing the victim.

Accept you're in control.

2. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Be present. Observe thoughts without judgment.

Develop emotional awareness.

With mindfulness, you'll notice the trigger BEFORE you react.

Meditation trains the prefrontal cortex (emotional regulation center).

Less impulsive reactions over time.

3. 𝗟𝗲𝘁 𝗴𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹.

You can have strong opinions but detach from the outcome.

Release attachment to external situations.

Control your response.

Your perception is your reality.

4. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲.

Negative emotions can't coexist with genuine gratitude.

Gratitude shifts your focus from what's wrong to what's right.

Aim for 3 things every day.

It's impossible to be grateful and angry or sad at the same time.

5. 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲.

Failure is a learning opportunity.

Acknowledge what went wrong without self-judgment.

See it as feedback.

With each failure, you learn and grow.

6. 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲.

Exercise is an outlet for negative emotions.

It releases endorphins, reducing stress.

Exercise also increases self-esteem and confidence.

7. 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀.

People with whom you spend time influence your behavior.

Keep positive company.

Your environment should support your growth and positive mindset.

Becoming emotionally bulletproof is a process.

It takes discipline, mindfulness, and practice.

Remember: you're in control.

1. Psychologically, being appreciated makes you want to work harder.

When you feel appreciated you:

◦ work more independently
◦ are more resilient to obstacles

2. Celebrating small victories leads to big victories.

Positive reinforcement leads to a sense of accomplishment.

The more we celebrate wins, no matter how small, the more likely we are to work harder and achieve large goals.

3. The pressure to perform diminishes when appreciation is expressed.

When a team feels like they're expected to perform without recognition, they can:

A micromanager is someone you pay to watch your top talent walk away:

Micromanagers are the antithesis to growth.

◦ They kill creativity and innovation
◦ They stifle progress with fear and control
◦ They demotivate and exhaust their team

In short, they are just bad for business.

A micromanager is a liability for an organization.

They mask their insecurities as attention to detail.

They'd rather inspect every aspect of a project than trust their highly-qualified team.

The result is a loss of productivity, workplace toxicity, and high turnover.

The best leaders know when to step back.

They trust their team to succeed and give them the autonomy to do so.

They provide guidance and support but are never overbearing.

They understand that their job is to lead, not to micromanage.

So, how can you avoid becoming a micromanager?

1. Hire great people and trust them to do great work
2. Establish clear goals and guidelines for success
3. Provide feedback and support when needed
4. Encourage creativity and innovation

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is rest and restore your energy. Here's how in 3 simple steps:

1) Rest intentionally, not sporadically.

Schedule time for rest like you do for work. Don't just hope you'll have free time.

A clear separation between rest and work allows you to be fully present for each.

2) Optimize your rest for what you need.

Identify what replenishes you. Is it:

↳ Meditation
↳ Exercise
↳ Hiking
↳ Reading
↳ Time with friends and family
↳ Sleep

Don't force yourself to rest in ways that don't actually rejuvenate you.

3) Plan for personal growth.

The most successful people don't just rest; they use that time for personal development.

Read a book on business, take an online course, or start learning a new skill.

You’ll feel even more invigorated when you return to work.

Entrepreneurship is a marathon, not a sprint.

You can't run a marathon without recovering from your training runs.

Rest should be non-negotiable. Maximizing it is how you find a sustainable balance between work and life.

Remember:

↳ Rest intentionally, not sporadically.
↳ Optimize your rest for what you need.
↳ Plan for personal growth.

Adults forget to play.

The 12 Principles Of Great Leadership:

1. Show Appreciation

Say thank you when someone does something worthy of recognition.

Make it personal, specific, and timely.

→ Personal: Use their name
→ Specific: Detail what they did
→ Timely: Do it ASAP

2. Be Transparent

Tell your team what you know, when you know it.

This gives them time to prepare and contributes to psychological safety.

They need to know they can trust you.

3. Ask Questions

Instead of telling your team what to do, ask them.

It empowers them and helps you learn what they know.

You don’t have all the answers, and that’s ok.

4. Give Autonomy

When you assign tasks, give your team freedom over how they do it.

This allows them to take ownership and feel more invested.

Plus, you get better results when people feel they have a say in the process.

5. Be Flexible

Be open to change.

Some people work better in different ways.

Some people need a flexible schedule.

Remember, you’re managing people, not robots.

6. Be Supportive

Everyone has off days.

Just because someone made a mistake doesn’t mean they’re a bad employee.

Offer constructive feedback and help them find solutions in ways that fit their strengths.

7. Be a Role Model

Lead by example.

Hold yourself to the same standards you expect of your team.

If you work long hours, so will they.

If you take breaks, they’ll feel more comfortable taking them too.

8. Be Positive

Be an optimist.

Positive energy creates a positive work environment.

Celebrate successes, no matter how small.

9. Be Accessible

Make yourself available.

If you’re open to feedback, your team will be more likely to come to you with concerns.

If you always have an open-door policy, trust will grow.

10. Be Empathetic

Be understanding and supportive of your team’s personal and professional struggles.

Ask how you can help.

Support them in their growth and push them to new heights.

11. Be Consistent

Be consistent in how you treat everyone on your team.

Fairness is key, and playing favorites hurts morale.

12. Be Honest

Be upfront and honest.

Don't hide behind niceties when tough conversations need to happen.

It's not always easy, but your team will always respect you for it in the long run.
