During the blackout, Ukrainian parents turned their car headlights into floodlights, so their kids can still play football. 

Can you imagine the reality in Ukraine?

"Hello?" - That was a woman who picked up.
But I was calling the Head of RevOps, who was supposed to be a man. 😅 

"Hi, I was trying to chat with Colin. 
Can I get him on the phone?" - I asked.

And, once I asked this question, she became super angry at me. Honestly, I almost heard all of the thoughts she might have been thinking of at that time...

"IT'S HIS WIFE. WHO ARE YOU AND WHY ARE YOU CALLING MY HUSBAND?????"

I briefly explained that I was calling Colin regarding his company plans for 2026 regarding contact-level intent, and since he is a revops person, he might be interested in our solution.

Once I explained, I heard that she wasn't that mad at me anymore, but I felt awkward AF.

The first thought that came to my mind when I hung up the phone was...

"I should have a better phone call provider." 😅 😅

Being in sales is a rollercoaster, so we should be adapted to any scenario.

The secret of my outreach is the following:
Send the message you would respond to personally.

People buy from people.

Especially in the era when there are so many vendors whose sets of features are almost equal. So it's making it harder to decide which tool to buy. (No major difference there.)

But decision-makers remember faces behind brands.

Your active multithreading, jokes, and focus on what matters to them pay off. 

So, every next time you want to copy and paste something, think twice. As it actually steps you away from their reply, interest, and a booked call.

What do I use?

1) buying signals on the personal level
2) personalization
3) creative images/gifs, videos, VMs
4) educational materials
5) e-gifts (usually costs $0)
6) screenshots of chats with their colleagues
7) chit-chatting 

I do not have a strict rule set. 
I just listen to my inner gut and be myself.

What worked for you the previous time you booked a call?

Just closed a deal that started with a single LinkedIn post.

By capturing a contact-level intent.

I used my own product, Influ2, to make it happen.

Here’s what happened:

This time, I focused on contact-level intent to capture LinkedIn posts with specific keywords. Whenever someone posted about a topic we care about, like ABM strategy, Influ2 flagged it.

So I started tracking posts from my targeted prospects. 

Regular day. 

Then, *sound*, a Slack notification that this particular ABM manager just posted something about ABM strategy.

I quickly read it and knew what was top of mind for her.

I cold-called her the next second, and after she picked up, I referenced her post and the problem she shared.

She was surprised how quickly I did it and asked what kind of tool I use to track her LinkedIn posts.

I proposed a chat next week to discuss contact-level intent and how it changes the ABM strategy.

The sales cycle started with a LinkedIn post and ended with a closed deal.

Because I wasn’t just another sales pitch.

I was speaking to her real need, in her own words.

Here’s why this worked:

- Contact-level intent = real signals, not just company-level noise.
- LinkedIn posts with specific keywords = help focus on pain points.
- Outreach based on their words = trust and relevance from the start.

This is not a theory.

This is how I booked a meeting right away.
Because it was the right person, at the right time, with the right message—

I'm a hater of robots doing our jobs.

Not really. I hate it when salespeople are using it wrongly!

But when you can save tons of time from doing something manually—I'm going all-in. 😂 🙌
