Austria Wins Eurovision 2025 — and Lithuania Still Has Never Won. Why?🇦🇹 Austrai wins Eurovision 2025 and yes — I predicted it before the announcement. Maybe I should start a side career in music forecasting? While Austria’s victory feels well-deserved and exciting, I can’t help but reflect on Lithuania 🇱🇹 — a country that continues to bring unique and compelling performances to the Eurovision stage, yet has never won the contest. This year, Lithuania delivered something bold and refreshingly non-mainstream. I was optimistic — I predicted an 11th place finish. It landed at 16th.Not quite what I hoped, but still a strong result for a song that didn’t follow the usual formula. And that’s the thing about Lithuania: year after year, we bring originality, heart, and risk-taking to Eurovision. But the big win? Still out of reach. 💔 No Eurovision trophy. Ever. Yet every performance is a reminder of resilience, creativity, and the power of music to represent a nation’s spirit. And maybe — just maybe — that's what keeps us tuning in, cheering on, and believing in the next time. Until then, I’ll keep celebrating wins like Austria’s, and dreaming bigger for Lithuania. Will work on it more. AI Usage – 78/100 Yes, I use GenAI. But I lead with intent, not automation. So to be honest, this score isn’t about being perfect. How Waking Up at 5 AM Got Me Talking Meta, Data & AI on National TV Long story short :) It started with a call yesterday. This morning at 5:00 AM: the alarm. By 7:00 AM: I was on national TV talking about one of the hottest AI topics in Europe — Meta’s decision to use public Facebook and Instagram data to train its AI models. 🎤 The questions? Not easy. 📺 The audience? Very broad. 🧠 The challenge? Translating legal and technical nuance into plain, relatable and conversational language. From opt-outs to GDPR to how AI "learns" from our digital lives — I tried covered it all. And while I managed to show up in person this early morning, I couldn’t help but wonder… next time, will it be my virtual AI avatar in the studio instead? :) Thanks to the #LRT team for the invite, and to all of you in my network who keep pushing AI discussions into the public spotlight. Today I attended the Balttechnika 2025 conference in Vilnius 🇱🇹 (https://lnkd.in/dXFzfvSV) It was a valuable experience — I had the chance to meet the President of #Infobalt Simonas Cerniauskas and made some meaningful international connections, especially with our neighbors from Poland. Events like this really highlight how important it is to meet new people and exchange ideas face to face. I also attended several presentations. One that stood out was by Linas Kojala, who gave an excellent overview of the current geopolitical landscape — from a historical perspective to where we stand today. A truly insightful, "bird's-eye view" presentation. Another highlight was a talk about #Tesla and giga-factories by Kim Gaba Jensen — mind-blowing to see how fast and efficiently electric vehicles are being produced. The level of automation is incredible. If you're interested in robotics, AI solutions, or work in the manufacturing sector, I highly recommend visiting this exhibition — it runs for two more days! Lastly, a shoutout to Tomas Prūsas for emphasizing the importance of STEAM education and inspiring the younger generation to pursue careers in engineering. While the fair isn’t huge, you’ll still find some truly interesting manufacturers and innovations worth exploring!
