I am a degree qualified Civil Engineer with secondary qualifications in mining engineering and project management. I have 40 years of varied technical, commercial and operational experience from senior roles in the civil and mining industries with a specialisation in project management, cost modelling and contract tendering. I have managed civil and mining projects and cost estimates for tenders in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Columbia, Jamaica, Chile and Indonesia. My civil estimating expertise is predominantly in civil infrastructure earthworks, labour and plant costing models, tunnel construction, railway construction, road and ramp pavements, bridges, foundations, piling, retaining wall structures and drainage. My mining estimating expertise is predominantly in mining contract tenders. I have developed an integrated contract mining estimating system that allows the full range of mining service & civil earthwork tenders to be costed efficiently and competitively with “what if “scenarios built in. This system can be linked to Expert Estimator and other estimating software through naming conventions. My work ethos is to develop and tender civil/mining business opportunities, participate and manage civil/mining projects and identify and develop strategies to improve existing civil/mining project operations.
