As a conservation photographer, media artist, and graphic designer, I have created and contributed to many projects that educate, inspire, and advocate for environmental causes. I am also a volunteer conservation committee member at the North American Nature Photography Association, where I help develop and promote best practices and educational materials for conservation photography. Additionally, I explore the intersections of AI and art, using AI prompts and generative models to enhance my creative process and outcomes. I enjoy sharing knowledge and skills with my students, colleagues, and other audiences, and collaborating with other professionals and organizations in the fields of visual communication and conservation. I am a professor of visual communication and media arts. I've been in education for over 17 years. I have an MFA in computer graphics design from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a BA in art (graphic design and drawing). My passion is to illuminate science and ecology through creative and engaging visual content, using any available tools and platforms.
