Lead a group of communication specialists (including editors, writers, graphic artists, video producers, webmasters, outreach event managers, and STEM engagement coordinators) whose mission is to inform internal and external audiences about space station research. Audiences include NASA executives/employees, commercial entities, students, educators, and the general public. Products include live presentations, education/outreach materials, print publications, websites, feature articles, videos, animations, and social media (including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). Our collaborators include public affairs and communication specialists at NASA Headquarters, NASA field centers, NASA research organizations, ISS international partners (including Canada, the European Union, Japan, and Russia), and the ISS U.S. National Laboratory. In 2019, we were recognized via a NASA Group Achievement Award: "For greatly increasing effectiveness of space station research communications via innovation and collaboration, including embedding science messaging across all outlets."

Int'l Space Station (ISS) Program Research Communications Lead

Serve as a scientific advisor and advocate for entire portfolio of International Space Station research, technology development, commercialization, and education/STEM engagement projects and activities (~3000 total from over 100 countries, representing over 4000 researchers and over 2000 publications). Provide evaluations and information to the ISS Program Manager, ISS Chief Scientist, and other individuals and organizations as needed. Deliver presentations to and participate in interviews for a wide variety of audiences, including government representatives (including international partners), commercial entities (including Fortune 500 companies), academic institutions (including world-class universities like MIT and Stanford) and journalists (including both traditional and social media representatives).

Int'l Space Station (ISS) Associate Program Scientist

Integrated payloads, payload facilities, and external carriers to the International Space Station (ISS) for the ISS Program Office (ISSPO). Represented the ISSPO Vehicle Office to ISS customers, ISS support personnel (e.g., operations and engineering), and other ISSPO organizations (e.g., the Research Integration Office).

ISS Payload Facilities Integration Engineer

Represented Flight Operations Directorate (FOD) personnel (>2000 people) to NASA programs as well as other stakeholders. Manages flow of frequently-complex technical information on issues, proposals, evaluations, and directives between FOD and the International Space Station Program (ISSP), the Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV) Program, and the Commercial Crew Program (CCP) as assigned. Briefs the FOD Assistant Directors, the Chief of the Astronaut Office, and the Chief of the Flight Director Office on a weekly basis. Represents FOD at Program Boards and Panels. Rotational (temporary developmental) assignment.

Flight Operations Program Integration Engineer

Assisted the Principal Investigator as well as other team members with advanced propulsion physics investigations. Rotational (temporary developmental) assignment.

Member, Advanced Propulsion Physics (Eagleworks) Laboratory Team

Performed planning, training, and real-time flight operations support for Space Shuttle payloads, International Space Station (ISS) cargo elements, and ISS mission support IT resources (servers, routers, clients, and other networked components).

Performed design technical integration for the Constellation Program Office. Served as Co-Lead of the Ground and Mission Operations Systems Integration Group (GMO SIG). Served as the Technical Lead for Mission Operations.
