I joined Churchman Landscape Architects as an Associate. Churchman Landscape Architects is a design-led landscape architecture practice based in London. One of my key roles is to establish an office in Bristol to deliver projects in the south west and across the UK.

Churchman Landscape Architects have a growing reputation for delivering thoughtful, high quality landscapes including masterplanning, residential, education, public realm and open spaces. Many of their projects are located in sensitive landscapes to which they bring a poetic and robust dialogue between the contemporary new element and the existing landscape setting. The quality of the work has been recognised through gaining a number of awards.

I am presently leading the deliver of the new public realm proposals for the Thames Path at Nine Elms on the South Bank in London, and working on a number of care home developments in the south west.

Associate

Grant Associates

In 2003 I joined Grant Associates, becoming in Senior Associate in 2008. During my time there I gained a broad experience in urban regeneration and renewal projects, creating distinctive urban landscapes from concept through to construction. Projects include team leader for the Main Gardens package for Gardens by the Bay; the regeneration masterplan and public realm for New Islington, Manchester; the Bath Western Riverside masterplan of a mixed use development of 2,200 dwellings in the world heritage city of Bath; and the Infrastructure and Public Realm Plan for Church Street and Paddington Green, a renewal area of Westminster, London. This study was described by Westminster City Council as ‘our first holistic area-wide plan to retro-fit climate change adapted public realm’. The project won the Neighbourhood Planning category at the Landscape Institute Awards 2014. 

My work at Church Street has led to him being invited to talk at TDAG seminars in London and Edinburgh, as well as contributing to the UK Green Building Council’s publication Demystifying Green Infrastructure.

I'm passionate about landscape and its role in creating beautiful, resilient places that benefit people's lives and the environment. I believe that landscape architecture has a unique role in connecting people and nature, its processes and wonder, in an increasingly urban world.
