Mr. Houseman leads Workplace Experience  (WPE) at Logi, responsible for the company's global office, R&D, manufacturing and distribution footprint, spanning more than 90 countries. WPE is at the center of developing the next generation of hybrid work solutions for Logi and our B2B customers.

Mr. Houseman joined Cantor Fitzgerald's commercial real estate arm, Newmark as Managing Director. He is a seasoned industry leader who has taken on a wide variety of in-house executive leadership roles including corporate real estate, workplace services, professional services, corporate planning, information technology, human resources, business continuity and risk management. David partnered closely with Newmark's clients to deliver high value, high impact transaction, portfolio and consulting solutions. ​

With a passion for coaching and mentoring the next generation of workplace leaders, Mr. Houseman has a proven track record of transformational change engagements that help individuals and entire departments keep pace with today's evolving landscape. Mr. Houseman is well known in the industry to be at the forefront of defining the data architecture, systems selection, implementation and quality assurance processes that are defining the digital experience for the hybrid workforce.​

Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Houseman led shared services functions at VMware, Twitter, The Clorox Company, and New Relic. Mr. Houseman founded an occupier consulting firm, focused on transformational change initiatives to prepare for pre-IPO efficiency and post-IPO hyper-growth. David began his career working as an architect with Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum (HOK), one of the world’s leading global design and engineering firms.

During a period of post IPO hyper growth, Mr. Houseman led a cross-functional internal transformation for the HR, IT, and Real Estate functions. Mr. Houseman had day-to-day oversight of Twitter’s global offices. Reporting to David was Twitter’s Global Threat Management team which was responsible for Enterprise Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Executive Protection, Travel, Physical Security, Technology, Governance and Compliance. David also led M&A integration, Twitter’s Global Location Strategy, and the  company's Health & Wellness Program.

Head of Shared Services & Employee Experience

VMware

Mr. Houseman led the company’s Corporate Planning function during a period of hyper growth. In this role, he worked with executives and cross-functional leaders on annual and long-range planning. As part of his responsibilities, he co-led the company’s global location strategy and portfolio rationalization initiatives. He led the company’s Project Management Office (PMO), Sustainability Leadership Council, Workforce Mobility Council, and Workplace Technology Programs. Specifically for Corporate Real Estate, David designed and implemented the headcount forecast-by-location process for 30+ lines of business. Other responsibilities included global occupancy planning, M&A integration, IWMS system architecture, lease administration, financial analysis and data analytics.

The Clorox Company

Mr. Houseman led Clorox’s Global Real Estate, Workplace, & Sustainability functions during a period of growth and transformation from a consumer products and goods company to a health, wellness, and lifestyle brand platform. To support the business strategy, he centralized governance, strategy, and operations for Clorox’s global property, plant and equipment portfolio of assets. David was responsible for office, R&D, retail, distribution, manufacturing and land acquisition assets as well as workplace innovation, workplace strategy, change management, and M&A integration. He received awards for contributions to Clorox’s Cut Costs and Enhance Margins (CCEM) Initiative and was the driving force behind Clorox’s Headquarters Relocation Strategy and LEED Platinum Certification.

Hellmuth, Obata, & Kassabaum, Inc

Mr. Houseman began his career as an architectural apprentice at HOK and after three years of apprenticeship and licensure was promoted to Project Architect. He worked on high profile projects including the Supreme Court of Singapore and the 20-year Master Development Plans for California’s Superior Court Circuit. In addition to his civic work, David developed expertise in corporate office and campus design. A partial list of clients include Samsung, Veritas, Intel, Symantec, Apple, Clorox, HP, Novell, Nortel Networks, Shorenstein, Boston Properties, and Tishman Speyer. David then joined HOK Consulting where he focused on workplace strategy, portfolio strategy, and a range of pre-design services including development, entitlements, and environmental impact services.
