David Jaques-Watson is a Data Modeller & BI Analyst, with 30 years of experience in business and systems analysis, data and information modelling, data warehouse design, BI reporting, enterprise architecture, data governance, reference and master data management, and data quality techniques. His most recent engagement was at QSuper, where he worked on conceptual data models and logical database designs (dimensional) to support the design and implementation of data warehousing and BI solutions for projects such as DaPM and systems such as the Financial Crime System (FCS). Previously he was at QUT, where he worked on data governance deliverables (data models, business glossary, data dictionary, report catalogue) and a Common Data Model based on CAUDIT, and the TCSI and QTAC (OP to ATAR) change projects. David has taken leading roles in diverse & complex data management projects with DHS, the ATO & Centrelink. These projects typically focussed on data governance, design, quality, reference data & metadata management. His project experience is complemented by many successful consultancy assignments in which he has assisted strategically in the formation of major enterprise data repositories & their associated structures, processes & widely varying end uses. David holds a Bachelor of Business (Comp. & Mgt. Info Systems) from Charles Sturt University & is an active member of industry organisations such as the Data Management Association (DAMA) & the Institute of Analytics Professionals Australia (IAPA).
