In 2012, I established One Six International as a boutique, strategic consulting firm that specializes in the telecom, internet, media, and entertainment industries. Over the last 10+ years, I have successfully advised both startup and established clients on business planning, market analysis, fundraising, organization, business operations, M&As, partnerships, penetrating new markets and verticals, innovation, bringing new products to market, and driving customer acquisition. 

Under the brand BLOCKTIVITY, in 2023, I have extended our services to helping Media & Entertainment companies leverage Blockchain end Web3 for profitability.

In November 2024, I soft launched "DJai's newsletter", the first 100% AI generated newsletter focused on Media & Technology. The objective of DJai's newsletter is to be provide useful insights to the industry, as well as showcase how AI, APIs and no-code automation can boost productivity and transform business models.

Past and present clients include Ericsson, PCCW, Veset (Cloud Playout SaaS), Passport TV (DTC OTT project), Xstream (end-to-end OTT SaaS, acquired by SeaChange in 2019), QUORTEX (AI powered cloud technology, acquired by Synamedia in 2022), incredibl (web3 social media), Vuulr (on-line marketplace for Film & TV), Eluvio (Layer 1 blockchain), Console Connect (NaaS) and more.

Veset provides a pioneering cloud play out SaaS solution allowing its customers to create linear TV
channels and deliver them to satellite, cable, IPTV or OTT distribution.

Veset was acquired by PLAY Inc. in 2023.

Globecast

During this time, I provided leadership for 120 employees spread across facilities in New York City, Los Angeles, and Miami. I also served on the board of several GlobeCast companies in America, Singapore, and Australia as well as the Executive Committee of GlobeCast Group (a $400M revenue company headquartered in France).

GlobeCast is the leading global provider of content management and worldwide transmission services for the professional broadcast community. They provide video content owners solutions to monetize their content and reach their audiences anywhere in the world and on any screen. 

In this role, I provided strategic direction in improving profitability and streamlining the organization to increase agility and expedite decision-making across a renewed management team. I also revamped workflows, implemented intensive training programs, adopted new policies and processes, and rationalized the technical infrastructure to increase utilization rates.

President & CEO, Globecast America Inc.

In 2006, I was asked to scale up an Asian subsidiary with offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, New Delhi, Beijing, and Seoul, working with existing teams to focus the company on long-term value clients and launch new services in the region. I achieved significant revenue growth by launching new services and expanding the client base. My contributions also include negotiating the acquisition of a company in Hong Kong, participating in industry events, liaising with government entities, sponsoring award ceremonies, and representing the company in the media/press.

CEO, Globecast Asia Pte Ltd

During this time, I was engaged to transform a tech-focused organization into a customer-focused company. As part of this effort, I structured innovation processes and boosted interaction with our clients (launching the Demo Lab and the Globecast Breakfasts), extended GlobeCast’s presence along the media value chain (setting-up a content rights service), and introduced new services to improve gross margins.

Eutelsat

As the first employee of the start-up Stellat (later acquired by Eutelsat), I set up the company from scratch, negotiated the € 200+mn contract for the in-orbit delivery of the first satellite and successfully managed its 24 month implementation, in time and within budget.
