Associate Dean

York St. John University

I was previously Deputy Dean within York Business School, York St John University. The role of Deputy Dean involved me coordinating a dedicated group of academics and overseeing the development of all the business subject areas within the school. As Deputy Dean I was a member of York Business School's management team and contributed to setting the strategic direction of the School and overseeing the sustained growth of the School. In my four years at York Business School I contributed in more than doubling Undergraduate student intake numbers and diversified the schools portfolio through programme development and strategic partnership development. I also contributed to the York Top 100 project that was successfully launched in November 2017.

Deputy Dean

For just under 3 years I was Head of the Management Department within York St John Business School. I taught in the areas of Digital Marketing, Strategic Marketing Planning and other general business and marketing areas. The role of Head of Department involved me coordinating a group of academics and developing the subject areas of Leadership, Management, Accounting Finance, Tourism and Marketing within the school. 

Alongside my role within York St John Business School I work with businesses as a consultant and mentor on a range of varied and interesting projects. My enterprise and consultancy interests lie in helping businesses of any size grow effectively through the use of marketing strategy, technology and innovation. I am currently part way through a Doctorate which involves research in the fields of innovation, strategy and organizational growth

Findexaminers is an online facility created for the Higher Education sector by existing Higher Education professionals. This is a new development designed to fulfil an existing need.

I mentor a team of 5 driven individuals through the development, launch and growth of this new online business.

I was a Principal Lecturer and Subject Group Leader of Marketing and Strategy within Teesside University Business School. The role of Subject Group Leader involves me coordinating a group of academics and developing the subject areas of Marketing and Strategy within the school. 

Alongside this role within Teesside University Business School I worked with businesses as a consultant and mentor on a range of varied and interesting projects.

Principal Lecturer in Marketing and Subject Group Leader

Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Corporate Programmes at Teesside University Business School. I was programme leader for MSc Marketing Management and worked closely with a range of corporate clients as part of my role. I delivered lectures on a range of marketing modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Senior Lecturer in Digital Marketing and Corporate Programmes

Omega Plastics

I supported Omega Plastics in developing their Marketing activity. I worked at both a strategic and operational level in supporting a talented graduate and an innovative and fast growing organisation.

As part of the project I advised on Strategic Marketing Planning, Digital Marketing activities and also supported the launch of a new website www.omega-plastics.co.uk

The project was for a set period of time and within the agreed timescales the overall aim and all of the associated KPI's of the project were exceeded.
