- Built and rapidly scaled the engineering organisation to 16 engineers spanning 2 cross-functional teams

- Served as the product executive for the PayPecker GoDigital product. 
-- Delivered a robust and extensible integration synchronisation framework that features retries
with incremental backoffs, and powers Integrations to several cloud-based and on-premise point of sale (POS) software, and accounting platforms.

- Led the team along with product management leads to build a direct-to-consumer (DTC) E-Commerce platform for retailers and brands. It features a progressive web application (PWA) frontend, integration to Point of Sale (POS) systems, popular content management systems, and several services that enable retailers and brands to leverage existing investment in inventory management systems to sell online to new and existing customers.

- Architected a MACH-compliant (Microservices based, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS and Headless) product to support rapid product scaling

- Set up a career ladder to provide clarity on expectations for different roles, and to provide a clear path for career advancement.

- Implemented a software engineering internship program.

- Developed and implemened a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) plan.

Co-Founder/CTO

Gloopro

Joined as CTO from Gloo.ng having led the technology team at Gloo.ng to develop an eProcurement platform that enabled the company to pivot.

- Led a successful pivot of the company’s product from eCommerce to eProcurement. As a result of the product, company revenue consistently grew Year-on-Year. 

- Built a cross-functional product team comprising engineering and product design

- Led a team of 8 to build a retail management software used by mid-market retailers

- Developed engineering team members (Grew engineers from junior to mid and senior-level)

- Introduced and coached the team on DevOps practices thereby enabling agility across the entire
software value stream.

- Introduced one-on-ones as a way to coach team members, resolve issues early, get and give feedback resulting in more engaged team members.

- Led the company-wide rollout of Objectives and Key Results (OKR) for planning, alignment with, and execution of Company objectives.

Chief Technology Officer

Gloo.ng

- Led a team of 4 engineers to build a successful E-procurement platform. The product enabled the company to pivot to e-procurement

- Built the V1 of a punchout integration between Magento 2 and ERPs (SAP Ariba, and SAP SRM). The first version was used by Unilever and Coca-Cola

- Implemented a successful internship program. Successful engineers were retained and grew to become mid and senior software engineers.

Joined as the first full-time engineer to build and manage the company's product after helping the company solve a technical problem as a contractor.

- Built the first version of a B2B Commerce product that set the company on a path to profitability.

- Migrated infrastructure from dedicated host to Rackspace, and from Rackspace to AWS
Introduced and led the implementation of a standard CI/CD process

- Developed Key Magento modules (Payment, Inventory management, Procurement, Referral & Rewards Management, Logistics) that improved customer experience and enabled back-office staff to become more efficient

- Led a team of 2 to develop a new eCommerce platform based on Magento 2.

Socketworks is Sub-Saharan Africa’s premier technology company, backed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and founded by a silicon valley entrepreneur. Was responsible for several Educational and government projects in Nigeria and Ghana

Promoted to technical team lead, led the team under the supervision of my manager to quickly develop new products. We built a set of standard modules that were shared across projects.

 - Led a team of 6 to build new eCommerce, Crowdfunding and Payment products
 - Strong collaboration with Business Analysts to define product requirements
 - Hired and mentored new team members

Technical Team Lead

Joined a newly formed team in Lagos, Nigeria as a Senior Software engineer to build products in collaboration with Business Analysts and engineers.

- Built a pin generation platform (used by banks and universities) that generated revenue for the company
- Built several modules as part of a new version of the company’s flagship product - College Portal.

- Developed several web applications for clients including a property management system and an SMS portal that enabled customers of the system to purchase units and send out SMSes.
