📕Story Time: How I Overcame Sabotage from a co-worker with Killing Kindness!

While I was working for a PEO company setting appointment I soon became the #1 rep.

This engendered a lot of jealousy and this ugly monster 👿 soon possessed one of my co-workers…

Not just any random co-worker but the one in charge of qualifying my appointments and this meant she had the power over my paycheck…💵

it wasn’t long before I could overhear her actually trying to get my appointments to cancel… 

Sounds crazy 😝 but it was true!

As I saw my paychecks dwindling I got angry 😡 and first instinct was to confront her then I made accusations to the manager…

Of course, that cave man idea 💡didn’t work…

So I tried a bit of sage advice from Abraham Lincoln:

“The best way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend.”

So I embarked on making this enemy my friend by killing her with kindness…

When I went to lunch I’d bring her something back, share my gum, listen 👂 to her talk about crazy Tv shows I had no interest in and giving compliments…

I kept this up for a while and then she slowly stopped sabotaging my appointments…

Then one day when I was just listening to her go on and on talking about gossip she stopped and said, “You know David you used to be a Jerk and I sabatoged your appointments; but you’re not a jerk anymore”…

She finally admitted to deliberately sabotaging my appointments something she had denied 🙅 and no one believed…

During that time I actually started to think I was crazy 😜 

However, I kept my cool 😎 and said, “yeah I used to be a jerk!”

Next time you face the Jealousy monster 👿 try killing them with kindness!

This is why Br'er Fox 🦊 didn’t kill Br'er Rabbit because he don’t mind dying; but really really didn’t want to be thrown in the briar patch.

How can you use this psychological tacit in sales? Well one simple way is to employ the art of walking away from a deal…

In the classic scene in Mad Men Don Draper can’t seems to get his client to listen 👂 so he gets starts to walk away and gives a legendary speech 👉👇
