Davida joined specialist boutique employment and information law firm Callington Chambers in September 2016.

She is an experienced advocate and litigator providing specialist advice (contentious and non-contentious) in the field of information law, covering all aspects of the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018, the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 and the GDPR. She also advises on all aspects of employment law with a particular focus on work-related personal injury claims (including bullying, stress and psychiatric injuries).  

She is also accredited to appear as the patient's Advocate at Mental Health Review Tribunals (one of only 7 advocates who have received accreditation from the Law Society of Jersey).  

In January 2017, she  was appointed by the Minister for Home Affairs as a legal member of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board.

Civil and commercial litigator specialising in regulatory disputes and, in particular, data protection and freedom of information issues (dealing with both contentious and general regulatory aspects). 

Significant other work included insolvency related matters such as providing advice on cross border insolvency and asset recovery, assisting foreign office holders with recognition applications and obtaining letters of request from the Royal Court to the High Court for assistance.  Also advised on local bankruptcy procedures (desastre, degrevement and remise de biens) and appointed as Attourné to conduct degrevement proceedings. 

Davida also dealt with general commercial/civil litigation, employment related issues and advised Plaintiffs and Defendant insurers in connection with personal injury and clinical negligence claims.

Duties were wide ranging and across a number of different areas including, contract, property, criminal, personal injury and family.  Davida also provided training sessions with new joiners to the firm in the demonstration of online legal resources, maintained the firm’s library and was the first port of call for knowledge management.
