Sola Look Cosmetics released products based on classic tv shows and movies with cult followings. Some of these properties included Dirty Dancing, Charmed, Beverly Hills, 90210, Grease, Saved By The Bell and Flashdance. We partnered with NBCUniversal, Lionsgate, Paramount, CBS, CPLG, CMG Worldwide, etc.

Sola Look Cosmetics had a bilingual online store - English and Spanish. 

As founder and CEO my responsibilities were that of streamlining operations including all facets of product licensing, manufacturing, ecommerce, customer service, shipping (3PL), logistics, email and SMS marketing, social media and finances.

SoLatina

SoLatina launched in 2009 as a socially driven organization that provided support, information and community to single Latina mothers. It thrived as a Facebook page before expanding into an interactive website that received 50,000 UVs per month. 

SoLatina included a team of mental health professionals, pediatricians, lawyers, physical fitness professionals and cosmetologists (all Latinas) who provided expert advice and guidance to community members.

SoLatina also forged a partnership with the YWCA of Greater Lawrence, MA & FINA House Domestic Violence Shelter in Lawrence, MA to support teenage residents.

Amalgam Entertainment, LLC

Amalgam Digital launched as the first genre specific digital retail store and record label. The company gained popularity for its unique business model and innovative new media marketing strategies. Amalgam Digital delivered live webcast technology, setting precedence by hosting a “live In-studio” webcast. It also had a supporting digital and physical distribution arm.

My responsibilities: Managed and maintained digital store platforms (iTunes, emusic, Rhapsody, Napster, etc.) for in-house artists; Created marketing and promotional campaigns for album releases; Secured multiple licenses from Sony and WEA to re-release previously recorded albums; Headed national radio campaign for recording artists using Mediabase software; Created and cultivated relationship with Best Buy as retail customer.

Traffic Entertainment Group carved a niche as a premier independent music (vinyl, cds, digital) and video distribution company by servicing smaller distributors, one-stops, and boutiques on an international scale.

When I was in graduate school at Emerson College I was lucky enough to get an internship at Landspeed Records through one of my friends. A part-time internship turned into a full-time job upon my graduation. My initial position as a sales rep turned into a position of National Sales Manager. Eventually, that position catapulted me to International Sales Manager. My ascension was truly from the bottom up...and I pretty much loved every minute of it.  

My responsibilities: Sold product to and worked with wholesalers, distributors and importers/exporters in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, Africa and UAE; Created relationship with Transworld Entertainment Corporation, parent company of largest group of record store chains in country; Oversaw and directed team of 5 sales representatives; Provided monthly sales analytics to ownership; Attended and exhibited at MIDEM (Cannes, France), the leading international event for the global music industry. Sidenote: France was a great place to visit...incredible food.
