In 2016 I delivered a presentation at the Institute of Internal Auditors Annual Conference in New York on a new concept call the “Healthy Organisation”. This conceptual and innovative approach to delivering internal audit won the Public Finance Innovation Awards in 2017 and allowed me to do a further presentation to the CIPFA conference. Our current feedback rating is 96% and this has been achieved by our desire to ensure staff are trained, qualified and have the right interpersonal skills to deliver each audit effectively. To place this in context, we have 65 staff, working across the UK, many remotely and we are the largest public sector internal audit partnership in the UK. Our Partnership is made up of 26 public sector organisations across the UK and in addition we have several private sector and third sector contracts. www.swapaudit.co.uk
