The first 25 years of my career were in the high-tech Fortune 500 world learning and applying leading-edge engineering, leadership, operations, and sales skills at global powerhouses like Texas Instruments and Siemens. TI in particular, was way ahead of its time in both its technologies and its leadership practices. A true pioneer in business. I personally believe there are no "hard" or "soft" skills, only business skills. You need both to be a world-class leader. Since then, I have worked as an instructor and consultant with Pal’s Business Excellence Institute. Pal’s Sudden Service is one of the best run companies in the US. They set the benchmark for businesses of any kind in almost every measure of business success. For 20 years they willingly and openly shared their transformational best practices through their institute. I was fortunate to be with them for the last 7 of those years to show individuals from almost every industry and market from around the world how to achieve superior results. Along the way I’ve been deeply involved with the Baldrige National Quality Award Program (the equivalent of the Nobel Prize for business in the US) and its state counterpart in Tennessee (TNCPE). I also co-founded and co-led an award-winning manufacturing and sales company for 13 years in the K-12 educational market. WHAT I DO My Mission is to share the knowledge and skills, both the hits and misses, I’ve picked up in a career of working in and with world-class organizations. In life and business, there are no one-size-fits-all formulas or secret recipes. But there are universal principles and practices that can be applied to each situation. I share those with leaders in a way they can immediately apply them in their business for maximum results.
