From national brands BOSCH Power Tools, Glidden Paint and Boise Paper, to local favorites Sue Bee Honey, First National Bank, Fintech giants and more than one state lottery, my career has been built on finding insights that connect products with buyers. I’ve written ads for dog wormers, mainframe computer channel extenders, and $1000 dollar steaks. (I even named the tallest, fastest roller coaster in the world*, Cedar Point’s Top Thrill Dragster. *Well, it was at the time. But times change. Sigh. ) Over the years my job titles have included copywriter, producer, creative director, president, managing partner, and account planner, but what I’m most proud of is this: the roster of talent I’ve had the good fortune to recruit and develop are today creative directors and leaders at agencies and brands across the country. And I think that’s pretty cool.
