Not glamorous.

Most people imagine growth as something exciting.

New opportunities.
New wins.
Momentum building quickly.

But the truth many leaders and entrepreneurs discover is this:

It’s the season when:

And sometimes it feels miserable.

In business and leadership, every new level introduces a new set of problems.

When you start a business, the struggle is getting your first client.

When you grow, the struggle becomes systems, hiring, and scalability.

When you lead a team, the struggle becomes people, culture, and responsibility.

Growth doesn’t remove problems.

It upgrades them.

Here’s the mindset shift many successful leaders adopt:

They stop asking,
“Why is this so hard?”

“What is this season teaching me?”

Because pain in business often means one thing:

Capacity to handle:

✅ Pressure usually means you’re operating at a higher level.
✅ Hard seasons build the resilience easy seasons cannot.

The key isn’t avoiding pain.

Strength doesn’t always look like headlines or awards.

Sometimes strength looks like:

• A woman balancing leadership and family.
• A professional showing up every day despite being underestimated.
• A founder building a business while fighting doubt and bias.
• A leader lifting others up while still fighting her own battles.

Behind many successful teams, companies, and communities are 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥.

Women have always been builders.

Builders of families.
Builders of teams.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐒𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤

One thing I’ve noticed with new entrepreneurs and professionals starting something new:

They hesitate… a lot.

Not because they’re lazy.
Not because they lack ambition.

But because they’re trying to find the 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫.

School trained us to think this way.

There’s one correct answer.
One correct method.
One correct solution.

But the real world especially in business doesn’t work like that.

There are 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐞𝐝.
Many strategies.
Many paths.
Many experiments that can lead to progress.

The only real mistake most people make is this:

𝐃𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Waiting too long to decide.
Waiting until everything is perfect.
Waiting until they feel “ready.”

Meanwhile, the people who grow the fastest are not the ones with perfect plans.

They’re the ones willing to:

• Try something
• Learn from it
• Adjust quickly
• Try again

Action creates clarity.

Not the other way around.

Most successful business owners didn’t start with the perfect idea.

They started with 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

Then they refined it along the way.

Almost everyone has big goals.

Grow the business.
Make more revenue.
Build financial freedom.
Lead a successful team.
Create impact.

But if goals alone created success, almost everyone would already have it.

The real difference between people who achieve their goals and those who don’t isn’t ambition.

It’s 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬.

The small things most people overlook:
• Showing up when motivation disappears
• Following up when others stop trying
• Learning when results are slow
• Improving systems when things get messy
• Staying consistent when nobody is watching

Goals are exciting.

But habits are where the real work happens.

In business and leadership, success is rarely built on one big moment.

It’s built on 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 repeated over time.

Sending one more follow-up.
Improving one system.
Learning one new skill.
Serving one more client better than expected.

Over time, those habits compound.

And what looks like “overnight success” is usually just 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭  𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐫.

If you want different results, don’t just set bigger goals.

Build better habits.

Because habits shape behavior.
Behavior shapes performance.
