A mix of corporate strategy, marketing, market research, education and sales enablement, I’m responsible for conducting competitor analysis and marketing in the data management, advanced analytics, text analytics, big data and business intelligence software markets.  Activities include: positioning, messaging, competitive differentiators, social media intelligence, primary & secondary research, and sales support.

Business Analytics Center of Competency Solution Consultant Team Leader - defined, prioritized and managed IT requirements and facilitated the adopter boarding process for IBM’s internal business intelligence cloud computing infrastructure dubbed Blue Insight. This ever evolving and newly developed Cognos based BI reporting system had over 160 internal project teams and 120K named users.  

Predictive Analytics Program Lead - responsible for designing, socializing, and implementing a Cloud computing predictive analytics capability for internal IBM using SPSS technology.

Team Lead, Jack of All Trades - responsible for leading various project teams who were developing enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and yield management system (YMS) business intelligence applications to IBM's Microelectronics Division. Developed advanced analytical methods and business intelligence reporting dashboards in SAS to identify potential root causes of yield loss for semiconductor (ASIC, OEM, Server, and Power PC) products.  Used data mining, quality control, and multivariate statistical techniques to identify yield loss and performance limiters which spanned test, design, and manufacturing.  Led cross-functional teams to identify root-cause issues, define corrective actions and communication plans to ensure customer serviceability, productivity, and profitability targets were met.

Engineering Consultant 1998 - 2000 (part time)

Researched and coded neural network medical decision algorithms for telemedicine applications in MatLab for pre-hospital injury severity and risk assessment which resulted in journal publications. The two main projects were to predict mortality after one hour based on biometric data and to predict hospital costs from medical codes. Also coded a high-speed relay algorithm to detect electrical fault transients on an aircraft carrier.
