Nathan Latka vs. Jasmin Alić

Who does it better?

A few days ago, I organized the DMM Conference in Zagreb – and what a day it was.

We had speakers like Hrabren Lindfors, Lara Acosta, and of course… the one and only Jasmin Alic.

I already posted about Jasmin yesterday – because he blew me away.
He was the last speaker of the day at my conference..
Everyone was tired. Energy fading. Long day behind us.

And then… BOOM.
Jasmin lit up the room.
Raised the energy to the roof.

The man didn’t just speak – he performed.
It felt like a mix between a TED Talk and a rap battle.

But then..

Just a few days later – I experienced another epic live presentation.

I watched Nathan Latka speak at the SaaStanak meetup organized by Leonard Eldić here in Zagreb.

And I still can’t believe how good it was.

Nathan is one of the biggest SaaS names out there.

Book author. Investor. Expert. Podcast host. 
He’s interviewed thousands of SaaS founders.
He breaks down their growth using first principles – looking for the core reasons behind success.

Of course, I had heard of him before.

But being so deep in my own marketing world, I hadn’t followed him closely in recent years.

So seeing him speak live – without expectations – kinda caught me off guard.

He was incredible!

The man speaks FAST.
With ENERGY.
With PURPOSE.
With an insane amount of interactivity.

He adapted his talk in real-time.
He asked for feedback.
And constantly talked to the audience.

He was literally shifting gears DURING the talk – reading the room and adjusting to keep the energy high.

No boring slides.
No “one-way lecture” mode.
It felt like watching a Netflix thriller – full of tension, full of action.

I was so pumped by the end, I had to get a beer – not to make it more fun, but to calm myself down. 😀

That’s how high the energy was. That’s how good he was.

The topics he covered? 

So relevant.

It wasn’t the basic “how to grow your SaaS” talk. 
It was about distribution, media, attention, growth, leverage, pricing.
Things most startups in this region still don’t get.

They’re often obsessed with the product – but forget that distribution wins.

Nathan gets it.
He lives it.
And he explains it so well that even non-marketers can understand it.

I was excited as hell to watch someone who deeply gets both SaaS and marketing.

In just a few days, I witnessed two of the best presentations I’ve seen in years:

🟦 Jasmin Alić – turning a closing keynote into a full-blown performance.
🟧 Nathan Latka – turning a meetup into a masterclass in engagement.

Two different styles, same result: total inspiration.

So: hats off to both of you.
