Supply Chain Manager

• Coordinate operational performance metrics (KPIs) and costing studies across the supply chain process.

• Successfully managed the tender for McCain Foods which involved leading the project team, formulating various P&L scenarios and preparation of pitch presentation for final proposal to the McCain Board of Directors. This resulted in Cold Chain securing a 5 year contract worth ZAR410M (A$58M). 
• Extraction of unprofitable Stock Keeping Units (SKU) across the supplier base. This resulted in the availability of additional pallet slot space for new profitable customers and the reduction of drop stock and damage levels.

• Managing and servicing a fleet of 70 delivery vehicles 
• Daily dispatching and coordinating of 60 vehicles, carrying between 200-300 tons, to around 250 customers 
• Managing a workforce of 40 drivers, 40 van assistants, 4 mechanics, 4 supervisors a transport clerk, transport router and transport coordinator 
• Preparing yearly budget plans and costing projects for Head Office 
• Analysis on store level service and recommendations resulted in an improvement in service levels from a 92% standard to a 97.5% standard 
• Delivered a 44% reduction in Reloads from an average of 112 tons per month to 63 tons per month - This reduced transport costs from a CPK of ZAR7.23/km to ZAR5.86/km
