A well-rounded business professional, strategic thinker and intuitive leader, Dawn has invested the last number of years managing operations and marketing/administering the sale of products and/or services to both the public sector and the business community. With an extensive background in the insurance industry, mitigating risk, and increasing brand perception has been a priority. Passionate about providing excellent customer service, detail oriented and results driven; as well as very comfortable with mentoring/training, Dawn has designed, implemented and facilitated new policies; sales, promotional/marketing, operational and administration, both for her own brokerage as well as for others. More recently, Dawn has enjoyed honing her technical skills. An active volunteer in the non-profit sector early on, Power Broker Users may remember Dawn as the Co-Founder and Chair of the Nova Scotia Chapter of the User Group. The group facilitated broker and management training in order to better utilize the software and optional features available on the Power Broker Management System. As a literacy volunteer with elementary students, Dawn was able to share her love of reading and help bring books to life for children. The local soccer community has also benefited from Dawn's participation. With two boys playing 'the beautiful game', and as a 'NCCP' qualified children's and youth coach, Dawn is known to parents and players alike and for over 10 years has participated on Tier 1, Tier 2 and League Boards across the HRM.
