13+ years ago, after completing my Neuroscience π§ degree, running two start-ups of my own and feeling relatively directionless π€ on what to do next, I applied for a role at another start-up and became their second employee. What happened after that, I still can't believe today π€―. We beat the odds and succeeded π. From a pre-revenue upstart, that company, Equiem, became a global proptech π’ leader, active in 25 countries, with 8-figures in ARR. We invented the niche now called 'tenant experience'. I played a critical role, climbing the ranks from junior coordinator, to become Head of Product and Design, then Head of Marketing, VP then CMO π«‘. Along the way, through a high-octane mix of self-learning, 'get sh** done', successes π€, failures π and caffeine β, I learned how to: - Build a B2B marketing department from scratch - and scale it across 25+ countries - Evolve marketing from βsales supportβ to an essential revenue contributor π° - Generate revenue from content, outbound, events, paid, partnerships, customers - Help sales win complex enterprise deals faster through enablement + ABM - Build a brand globally recognized and respected by its peers - Achieve high efficiency through a scientific approach to scaling - Manage a global team, while being an effective executive Itβs been quite a ride so far, and I feel like Iβve only just started. Today, I am a global CMO obsessed with the art and science of marketing. I live for the challenge of growing businesses π.
