I was able to get hands on experience with Alien Vault, Compliance Engine and Dark Trace SEIMs to gain a working knowledge on the customer’s custom environments to learn the goal of our service for the customer to be able to adapt accordingly and perform tuning on the SEIM platforms to enable maximum optimization for the customer and reporting. I performed operational real-time monitoring and analysis of security events from multiple sources such as events from SEIM monitoring tools, network and host-based intrusion detection systems, firewall logs and system logs from windows. I Performed advanced diagnosis and remediation planning in response to security events and incidents by Analyzing security event logs and alerts to determine validity, priority and impact against both security threat and the client's compliance obligation to suggest the best practice counter measure. This all had to be done on an SLA which was tailored to the customers’ needs and compliance which I ensured I kept at all times during my analysis.
