Experience of 27 years in Property & Casualty Insurance claim operations across the USA and Canada with State Farm Insurance. Served in a variety of management and executive-level leadership positions. While building a culture of customer service excellence, led thousands of employees in supervisory and executive roles in property and casualty claims operations with specific responsibility in auto liability, auto property damage, personal injury protection, homeowner and commercial claims, glass claims, SIU, subrogation, shared services, auto salvage, auto title document processing, Medicare, medical resources, and other enterprise claim operations serving over 96 million customers nationally. State Farm is a Fortune top 40, $123 Billion company and the largest Auto & Home Insurer in the United States of America. Expertise not only in operations, but also in employee relations, organizational change management, communications, strategy, compliance, financial management, customer service, operations excellence and human resource performance management. In addition to my operational leadership responsibilities, served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals, Pittsburgh, PA and the Motor Vehicle Accident Indemnification Corporation in New York City. Also served as the United Way chair and vice chair for State Farm’s corporate campaign from 2008-2010 generating in excess of $2 million in employee contributions. In 2018, I began work as CEO & Principal Consultant—Barry Consulting Group, LLC for the insurance industry, management consulting firms and private equity organizations. In addition to the consulting practice, I assist Brigham Young University in teaching Leadership to MBA students during their first year at The Marriott School of Management.
