Co-founder of EpigeneticsRx and La Vita Compounding Pharmacy in 2007. Collaborating with her business partner, physicians and strategic partners, Deb has grown La Vita to be one of the most respected and sought after personalized medicine providers on the west coast. Deb founded her first preventative health care business in 1984 and has spent her career as both an entrepreneur and executive of public companies including Bank One and Imperial Bank. It was Deb’s role at the Alliance in 1990, a business coalition of self-funded employers, where Deb’s passion for healthcare outcome data analysis, self-funded health plans and corporate health was first ignited. This foundation led her to develop additional skills in healthcare finance, healthcare electronic payment systems and pharmacogenomics. La Vita has been honored from 2011 through 2021 as one of the Fastest Growing Private Companies by the San Diego Business Journal, awarded the SBA Women Owned Small Business of Year for San Diego and Riverside Counties in 2012 and the SBA Creativity and Growth Award in 2015. The National Association of Women Business Owners awarded Ms. Hubers the BRAVO Trailblazer award in 2012, the Woman Business Owner of the Year in 2015 and the Signature Award in 2017. Ms. Hubers currently serves as the past Chair of the Board of Trustees of Bastyr University, Scientific Advisory for EXOCEL BIO, Inc., Board of Directors of the Kids Eco Club and is a member of the Institute for Natural Medicine’s Leadership Counsel. In her spare time she enjoys skiing, yoga, hiking and spending time with her family (both genetic, furry and by friendship).
