Lunch Pals is a lunchtime mentoring program where businesses, community organizations, and individuals are paired with a school to provide students with the additional presence of caring adults.

District Mentor Coordinator

Palm Harbor Special Fire Control and Rescue District

•	Approval of department policies such as capital expenditures and public banking rate negotiations, union relationship management, retirement plan, hiring of fire chiefs.
•	Budget management of $8,485,588 annual budget, adoption of expenditures, and millage rate.
•	Lobby the Florida State Senate and House of Representatives for Fire Fighter and Rescue initiatives.
•	Conduct extensive research and analysis on specific municipal issues.
•	Ensure thorough oversight of all department resources and support streamlined department policies and procedures to boost productivity of department business processes.
•	Serve at executive meetings and inter-departmental negotiations, as well as externally between the municipality, community and residents of Palm Harbor.

Commissioner

Office of the Public Defender, 6th Judicial Circuit, Florida

Serve as an advisor to attorneys and the court in providing alternatives to incarceration and locating appropriate treatment and assistance for clients with problems with mental health and substance use.  

Maintains close working relationships with local mental health providers to coordinate services and address mental health issues involving the public defender clients, homeless providers and local mental health providers. Attends scheduled court hearings involving individuals who are adjudicated or likely to be adjudicated and discusses alternative dispositions at hearings.

Prepare statistical reports for federally funded grant program. Attends monthly and quarterly meetings with grant providers and other community stakeholders. Works closely with individuals, treatment facility service/treatment team, and local mental health provider agency staff to locate appropriate community placements and arrange for needed aftercare services for individuals determined appropriate for services. Intervenes when necessary to resolve issues among stakeholders to ensure continuity of care.

Collaborate with community evaluators, treatment facility staff, the courts and attorney’s information regarding housing options for individuals with mental health and substance use. Developed and maintains a directory of area community resources, mental health services and providers.

Forensic Diversion Specialist

•	Promoted from part-time Fiscal Assistant to current full-time position July 2013.
•	Facilitate coordination of Jail Diversion clients in residential facilities throughout Pinellas and Hillsborough County utilizing various programs, agencies and resources within the community.
•	Gather statistical analysis of arrest rates, conduct modern office procedures, data review techniques, customer service skills, filing and record keeping.
•      Use of BOMS and FLAIR.
•	Plan and coordinate travel arrangements for the Public Defender plus Attorneys in Clearwater, New Port Richey, and Dade City offices.
