Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile. So here is a little bit about me. I have over 30 years experience of working within the health sector, with 8 years as a deputy managing director for a health and well-being trust. Following lifesaving spinal surgery in 2019, I had plenty of time to consider what I wanted to do in life. From a work perspective I have always been interested in first aid and mental health, so I decided to change my career path with a focus on training. I wanted to share both my knowledge and years of experience to others. I now deliver a wide range of subjects from mental health, first aid, conflict management to other specific management courses. Sometimes these courses are regulated or bespoke depending on the requirements of my clients. Having been a Samaritan for over 20 years, I have a passion to improve the awareness of mental health within my local community and beyond. I do this through delivering both regulated and bespoke courses across all ages and sectors. Always by my side is my amazing assistance dog Elsa. Who loves a fuss made of her wherever she goes, whether it's sitting on poolside as I watch my son swim, or lying patiently at my feet during training courses. As a first responder covering local events, Elsa is often very helpful providing a distraction and emotional support to the casualty I am treating. One of my core values is of kindness. I try to live by this in all my actions and behaviours and hope that I am a good role model to my children. Humour is also plays a big part in my life and I grab it at every opportunity!
