I am a breast cancer survivor. Though that is not all that defines me, being a survivor has led to my making it a life goal to support other women who have been diagnosed. As the Founder/CEO of the Y-U Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.,( currently on hold), in which I was able to fund Four breast cancer survivors on separate Road to Recovery trips. One of those survivors ,little did I know at the time, was a former Maryland State Trooper who is now an attorney. Through my motivational workshops, speaking engagements and media appearances, I advocate for women's health, traveling worldwide to empower with my own personal story of resilience, celebration, and triumph--along with a message that focuses on renewing mind, body, and soul. I am the author of the book Open Up the Door and Let Me In, and the co-author of Living Your Vision and Purpose, and my journey has allowed me to be featured in both an AARP Life Re-Imagined and a Roche Pharmaceutical campaign. I have lifetime memories of traveling first-class to Singapore, Switzerland and Florida to speak on breast cancer. I am a 2009 Susan G. Komen award recipient and count it an honor to be included in the National Cancer Survivors Day Speakers Bureau roster. My topics cover early breast cancer detection, self-empowerment, finding and protecting self-esteem, and living one's vision and purpose. And though much of my work does center around breast cancer awareness, I have other interests that are near and dear to my heart, as well as training front desk receptionist to become stellar first contact for companies! Believe it or not, I still enjoy working in offices as a personal executive assistant. It is important to always keep your mind focused on your wishes, dreams and your self-worth. NEVER STOP LEARNING and GROWING! More importantly, Never give up HOPE! Yes, I have worked hard to earn a few titles: Two time Published Author, Toastmaster, Life Coach, World Traveler, and list goes on,but the one thing that I love to no end is making others feel good about themselves. Gee! I have been thru a lot in my life but yet, I never lose HOPE! Thru all the dreams and accomplishments, the two most important titles to me are: MOM and Nana!!!
