𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁, 
I take all best performing keywords from my account


𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻, 
I use Google Search Operators to find cheaper versions of those keywords


That works like this:

In Google Search you plaste your keyword, 
and in front of it you add a lower score ( _ ) 


Google's auto suggest will offer you different keywords.  

(Often cheaper than the keywords you already have)

Simple..

1. Try for yourself, 
2. add them to your accout 
3. and monitor their performance
4. Save budget

We always talk about the basics..

Well.. for lead gen accounts , this is definitely part of it


Last month, one campaign did 8 High-ticket leads 


Now, even before the end of this month,
we’ve already done almost 5x that 


This were our 3 easy steps ..
 

1️⃣ We replaced the standard form for Typeform 

(which is way more intuitive than the original form) 

Could have also been Tally or Perspective..


2️⃣ We Cut out 4 out of 10 fields 

(that information was necessary, but not in the first form)


3️⃣ Divided the questions into seperate sections 
(instead of one long list)

 
The result was 
+89% conversionrate

That gave us the green light to ramp up the spend:
+153% clicks

= 380% more leads
(while the CPA dropped by 37%)


TL;DR: 
Don't have a crappy form

✅Minimize fields,
✅Go for the most intuitive form(tool),
✅One question visible at the time

Clients liked me immediately

But.. not respected long term

Dislike me in the beginning

But.. respect me in the long run


But why is that? 👇


The more I disagreed with my clients, 
the higher the retention


That happened for 3 reasons:


𝗜𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆
↳ Pushing back showed my client I know my stuff


𝗜𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁
↳ Saying 'yes' to everything made them doubt my judgment
↳ Saying no showed I’m focused on outcomes, not approval


𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀
↳ We always ended up doing what really helps the client


And all of those 3 combined, resulted in this:

𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻  
↳ More trust + Better results = Higher retention


It's probably the Biggest difference between a Junior and a Senior

Since 2019's Black Friday, I have PTSD..

Take my tip and save yourself stress (and money)👇

So, this is what happened 2019..


Like always, spend ramped up during BF 

but this time our primary card stopped working.


Obivously, that also meant the campaigns did too..


I was desperately trying to reach my client, 
but no success.

After one hour, I finally caught him.


We fixed the payment issue and the campaigns were back up. 

But..

We missed 1,5 hours of visiblity on the most important day of the year 

(And revenue with that)


Learned an important lesson that day
Don't make that mistake

→ Always have a back-up payment method in place 


(Would have saved me a lot of grey hairs)

Most of my audits take less than 1 hour

Because most account problems come from the same reason..


Here's a recent client example..


The client account of one of our agencies was stuck


The main reason was in their two top spending campaigns

A.  Conversions stopped growing
B.  CPA was too high 


We did the audit,
and found opportunities in the basics:


1️⃣Location performance
There was a massive CPA performance difference between locations.

Solution: 
→ Budget allocation to high-performing locations
→ Minimizing budget waste on non-performing locations


2️⃣Ad scheduling
There was a clear 'week-seasonality'. Applying an ad schedule was a low hanging fruit. 

(Yes, this client had a <1 day sale cylce)


3️⃣ Bad traffic from Broad Match (a lot)

Non-performing traffic 
Irrelevant traffic
and Competitor traffic

Solution;
→ Keyword Exclusion lists based on our Ngram script
→ Internal exclusions


As I said, basic stuff.. 

The results..


Campaign 1: 

📉 37% drop in CPA
📈 136% increase in conversions

Campaign 2: 

📉 36% drop in CPA
📈 58% increase in conversions


End-client: Happy
↓
Agency: Happy
↓
TAT: Happy

Check the basics before doing fancy stuff
It will solve 90% of account problems

Yes, this was 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁 'Close Match'.. 

In most other accounts I see similar differences
