Denise Atwood's Linkedin Analytics

From my first computer, A RadioShack Tandy TRS-80 Color in the early 80's, I fell in love with tech. Over the years money and opportunity ebbed and flowed and I had chances to learn hands on a wide variety of skills. Programming started with BASIC, TurboPascal and Java. Hardware upgrades and repair with every personal tower and laptop (and a few of my friends and family). Software from DOS to Win 3.1 to today learning a wide variety of tools for the job at hand, whether that's Spreadsheets or Inventory databases or Video Editing Software. I have always known tech could be helpful in nearly any situation and used it to get what I needed done. Laptop not working? Buy the part or sort the software. An issue with tech at my job? Research the issue and fix it myself, I saved my coworkers a lot of IT calls. Added bonus, if we did need to call IT I could tell them what I already tried and save them some time. I also had other passions. I worked in sales at Walt Disney World, cooked and baked in a variety of places from ski resorts to Antarctica to the Oil Fields of Alaska. I used my time off while working a rotational schedule to travel across the US, Canada and Europe. Now I'm pivoting into a new phase of life. One where I'd like to join the dynamic field of Information Technology. I am currently studying for my CompTia Network+ certificate, learning Python and working on my HomeLab. I'm hoping to find a position with a rotational schedule or one that involves travel, as I love meeting new people and learning new things. Ideally I'd like to work with a company that is environmentally aware or doing something about the climate crisis.
