• Provide confidential academic advising to ensure that students receive the individual attention they need to succeed before entering a program. 
• Lead the development and monitoring of academic plans to assist students with timely graduation and supports the University's retention and graduation initiatives.

•	Lead the development and monitoring of academic plans within the program to assist students with timely graduation and support the University's retention and graduation initiatives. 
•	Teach students how to access university resources, technological tools and relevant policies and procedures.
•	Serve as project lead in special projects related to college-wide student success initiatives.
•	Provide individual career counseling to help students plan for employment and/or future education. 
•	Help facilitate career-readiness through appropriate referrals to available resources and coordinate readiness initiatives with campus partners.

•	Review and process the department’s graduation certification for students.

•	Review and approve all departmental transient approvals, excess credit petitions, and change of major requests.

•	Provided ongoing assistance to Dietetics and Nutrition students in support of their academic success as measured by retention and on-time graduation.

•	Responsible for timely submission of grant applications and ensuring all applications met agency and university guidelines. 
•	Worked directly with principal investigators to develop proposal budgets, in accordance with the needs of the research plan, agency and institutional requirements.
