As Assistant Dean for Executive & Graduate Degree programs, at Georgetown McDonough School of Business Career Center, I serve 700+ students from six degree programs including our Executive MBA program based in Dubai. I also work with hundreds of alumni and oversee a team of 16 coaches from three countries and seven states. I collaborate with four academic directors as we support students in their career journey's through unique programming, executive and career coaching, provide access to recruiters, search firms, career workshops, employer development and more. Before my time at Georgetown, I worked in patient experience at Inova Health system serving as a coach to clinicians as well as I had my own coaching business working with clients at a top tier law firm, Georgetown University, Best Buddies International, and The United Way. Most of my career was spent in the hotel industry serving 25+ years in sales, marketing and revenue management leadership at Marriott International, The Ritz-Carlton and Host Hotels & Resorts. At Host Hotels & Resorts I was the sales & marketing lead for the Marriott & Starwood merger from the owners' purview. I developed sales & process change with brand leaders & the Host portfolio which includes Marriott International, The Ritz-Carlton, Hyatt, Hilton and independently managed hotels in urban locations. I partnered with travel industry experts at Expedia, Booking.com, TripAdvisor and CVENT. In September of 2021, I was inspired to publish my first book which recounts my own story of overcoming insurance denials for cancer treatments. In my book, Prescription for Proton Radiation, I interviewed 16 patients including Head Coach Ron Rivera from the Washington Commanders, 9 Radiation Oncologists & the Chief Operating Officer at Varian. I've had media appearances & spoken on patient panels locally and at the national level. I've met with congressional staffers to lobby for the Bipartisan Legislation: S. 3018/H.R. 3173, The Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act which passed in the House. I donate all of the proceeds of my book to the With Grace Initiative to help end childhood cancer.
