General Manager / Business Consultant

Colorado Motorsports Productions / Thunder Valley Motocross Park

Founded in 1999, Thunder Valley Motocross Park has hosted the AMA Pro Motocross Outdoor Nationals every year since their premier event in June, 2005. 

As the event operations manager, I assist the Owner/CEO with general operations, promotion, and event production and management for multiple local and national events:
 
A. Coordinate multiple event management details for annual AMA Pro Motocross National Race 
(25,000+ attendees): 
     - attend annual National Promoters Meeting with top executives; television producers; and promoters from entire series
     - collaborate with and direct key race committee leaders in pre-event planning and delegation of assignments
     - arrange travel and lodging logistics for corporate executives
     - oversee promotional activities, including promo booth at annual Denver Supercross event
     - create and manage all details for 20th anniversary celebration in 2024
     - strategic marketing campaign planning with the social media manager
     - book performers and Grand Marshal and make all necessary arrangements 
     - coordinate details, such as: hiring food trucks; training staff for general admission bars; procuring and distributing alcohol and other catering services
     - plan and execute all details for private hospitality tents; including contract creation and value-based fee generation, catering, alcohol, and promotional items

B. Produce, facilitate, and progressively improve 'VIP Experience' for more than 900 VIP spectators for annual AMA Pro Motocross National Race, including:  
     - hire, train, and manage VIP staff for successful guest experience
     - coordinate with vendors and caterers 
     - oversee VIP budget; ensuring a profitable and cost-effective event
     - troubleshoot and quickly resolve all event details associated with the VIP experience
     - grew attendance from 450 to 900 VIP spectators  

C. Assist with event management and coordination for annual 5K mud obstacle races (6,000+ attendees)

Genesee Foundation 

Genesee is a community of 885 homes incorporated on 1,200 acres of open space and forest land, including 12 miles of hiking trails, in the foothills of Golden, Colorado.
Amenities include three clubhouses, one playground, two outdoor pools, four tennis courts, a well-equipped fitness center, and two pickle ball courts. 

The Genesee Foundation is a self-managed homeowners association with nine on-site management staff dedicated to supporting operational activities, architectural standards, and special events to enhance, preserve, and protect the Genesee community.  
Our mission is: Building Community, Delivering Excellence.  

As an integral part of a collaborative team, I worked directly with the Community Manager assisting with all operations to oversee the successful management of the Genesee community.
•	Assist the Community Manager with all operations including multiple special events

As the sole manager of the Golden business center, I was responsible for all sales and daily operations for 32 offices, 4 conference rooms, and 135+ member accounts as the representative of Office Evolution to clients and visitors. I partnered with entrepreneurs, remote workers, and small business owners (primarily attorneys, financial planners, CPAs, and commercial real estate developers) to identify solutions to help them be successful.

Accomplishments:
•	Top nationwide sales producer, July 2020, August 2021, and September 2021 (out of a field of 75 locations)

Business Center Manager

Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD)

The Evergreen Park & Recreation District was authorized in January 1969 by a vote of the residents of the area. At that time, the stated purpose of the District was to provide recreational opportunities to its residents and construct a community center with a swimming pool. The revised mission of the Evergreen Park & Recreation District is to improve the quality of life of the Evergreen community by providing a wide range of excellent, financially responsible park and recreation amenities and programs while maintaining and enhancing the area's mountain character.

As the Special Event Coordinator, I was responsible for coordinating large community events, festivals, sports tournaments, company retreats, and other private events held at Evergreen area parks and fields. 

•     Primary point of contact for vendors and promoters of outside events, including facilitating meetings with clients, supervisors, and staff to plan for successful event management
•     Key in creating and negotiating contracts and park permits
•     Boosted revenue by 36% over the anticipated budget in 2018 and subsequently increased revenue by 58% in 2019.

As the Office Manager and administrative assistant to the Park Operations Manager, I was responsible for overseeing all daily operations: budgeting, marketing, ADP payroll, monthly financial reports, payment collection, and coordinating with the Human Resources director for the entire Parks staff - on-boarding, training, benefits, and performance management. 

•     Additionally, I served as  the Facility Coordinator for the Evergreen Lake House - responsible for overseeing general facility operations; training and supervising ticket sales and skate rental staff; and providing support to Lake House management staff

Special Event Coordinator / Office Manager

As the Member Services Manager, I was responsible for building a team of 20+ staff to provide exceptional customer experience for community members and guests for both the Wulf Recreation Center and the Buchanan Recreation Center in Evergreen, CO.

•     Cultivated a positive, proactive, and engaged Member Services team (ranging from college-age through seniors) 
•     Managed and increased the effectiveness and efficiency of staff operations through training and team-building; annually revising the staff handbook; providing annual performance management and coaching to staff
•     Facilitated organization-wide professional development workshops and motivational training sessions for staff throughout the entire organization (on-site and off-site) for improved employee engagement
•     Collaborated with all departmental supervisory staff to coordinate the marketing of all activities and programs as well as facility usage scheduling
•     Served as the central point of contact for all program and activity inquiries and registrations; recognized as organization expert for all Active-Net (membership management platform) questions/issues
•	Managed and expanded the Workplace Wellness program for Evergreen Community businesses by 37%
•     Oversaw general facility operations for two recreation centers, including: recruiting, hiring, and supervision of member services staff and custodial crew; facility rentals and special events; staff scheduling and ADP payroll; coordination with the Human Resources Director for on-boarding, training, benefits, and performance management 
•	Created and managed budget for Member Services Department; prepared monthly financial, facility usage, and operational reports; key in collection of past due accounts

•	Served as EPRD representative for job fairs at colleges and within the community to recruit new staff members

Enhancing property values and creating quality of life through recreation, community events and leadership...The Highlands Ranch Community Association (HRCA) is a nationally award-winning nonprofit organization for 30,550 home owners in Highlands Ranch. The HRCA maintains four state-of-the-art recreation centers, provides architectural control and covenant enforcement, programs, fitness, sports and educational opportunities, manages the Backcountry Wilderness Area, and hosts over 100 community events annually.

As the Assistant Facility Supervisor for the Southridge Recreation Center, I was responsible for overseeing the daily operations for the largest recreation center in Highlands Ranch                                 

•     Hired, supervised, and trained Southridge Recreation Center Registration Staff, Member Services Staff, Gym and Weight Room attendants, and Custodial Staff  
•     Oversaw daily operations for all departments, including: a fitness center and track, two gymnasiums, four pools, five tennis courts, and all special events in the 325-person capacity Wildcat Mountain Auditorium 
•     Managed general facility operations, including: facility rentals and special events, staff scheduling and payroll, human resources, facility maintenance, and member and guest services
