Head Of Engineering

Managing a team of 50+ developers cross-department project team including Engineers, Technical Leads, Team leads resources throughout all phases of new product development for the company's high-end process control software package. Rebuilt the saas platform within 2 years with 5M MRR for 170K dealers.
- Been a key member of the Engineering Leadership team developing organisation-level goals, driving the technical roadmap for our engineering teams. Made the decision to move from bitbucket to github, from bamboo to circleci.com and built CI/CD by leveraging AWS CDK.
- Building and leading engineering tribe strategy, development and execution, working closely with key internal stakeholders. Implemented CI/CD (continuous delivery), definition of done, the new lifecycle of produce and communicated across the projects including POs, BAs, QAs and Dev.
- Collaborated with key stakeholders across the business to get everyone onboard why we need to move to microservice architecture from monolithic architecture and why we need CI/CD instead of CI.
- ​Owning the key technology decisions to build for the long-term while managing roadmaps and business needs. Made the decision to move to microservice architecture by adopting Spring cloud solution. Keeping up with tech trends while making all the milestones.
- Driving top-tier engineering quality and excellence by refining definition of done, getting quick feedback from CI/CD, organising the team by squads. Less than 10 service tickets after we went live on 1st of April, 2020.
- Recruited and retained the engineering talent required to solve our toughest technical problems. Built a high performance test by hiring 20+ new developers including 2 tech leads and promoting 1 tech lead and a few senior developers with only 1 developer left in the past 3 years.

- Managed problem/defect queues and liaised with global teams to manage workload.
- Worked hands-on with complex technical issues around website authoring, workflowing, security, syndication (replication) and performance.
- Led daily scrum meetings to discuss customer issues, next steps and managed assignments.

Technical Support Team Lead

- Acquired skills on IBM Web Content Manager and Websphere portal to assist customers with issues around website authoring and rendering.
- Resolved issues around syndication (data replication) and performance across multi-server environments.
